Where on Earth do you find Real Force keycaps for less than $100
« on: Mon, 23 January 2012, 12:28:58 »
While I wait for my RF 87u to show up, I've been looking around for keycaps, and it looks like my only options are elitekeyboards ($110 seems steep to me), and the classifieds section, where it seems like a lot of luck is involved in finding a set. Anyway, am I missing some really obvious other option? ebay turned up nothing for me.

When you own a $300+ keyboard, that's how you roll.

I caved and  bought mine (HHKB) from elitekeyboards. If you're patient (I'm not) you could try your luck with a WTB?

I'm not patient either. I just bought a keyboard leaving $100 in my checking account, when I'm going to be paid like $4000 at the end of the month.

I thought that might've been the case, but it's kind of a bummer. When I have cash, I'll shell out for a set from EK.

I bought a blue set from Classifieds here for $70 shipped.  You gotta keep your eyes peeled.

I disagree.  They may look more exciting, sure...but so does Lindsay Lohan post-Herpes.  This goes double if you're the Korean Kustom Keyboard type...but if you want a good looking, professional, stylish & solid set of keys, Topre's PBT dyesubs look great and anything comparable costs the same (I'm paying $111 for one of the sets in the thick dyesub group buy in fact).

And they feel like sex for my fingertips when I type on them.
