[IC] KG Retro TKL keyboard Update WK&7U&ISO supported
« on: Thu, 02 November 2023, 04:36:24 »
Haven't decided on a name yet. If you like this keyboard, you can tell us your thoughts of how to name it

TKL layout

Why the retro style?
We live in a fast-paced world of ever-advancing technology, but sometimes, we need to pause and reflect on the past. We believe that a keyboard is not just an input device but a work of art. We believe that compared to modern mechanical keyboards, retro-style keyboards clearly have a more unique appearance and tactile sensation. Whether for viewing or use, they can provide a better overall user experience.

Currently, we have designed two keyboards, Model A and Model B. Here are some rendered images of them. Which one do you prefer?

Love how clean this looks. Even though it might not be as faithful to the original Wyse aesthetics, I'm really liking the more compact design of Render B.

Love the design & would be totally down to go in on this. Like many others I also love the retro Wyse look. As for suggestions a WKL top variant would be pretty sweet, then for the WK tops a PCB that has support for Wyse bottom row or at least a 10u spacebar would be super cool IMO! Anyways GL moving forward with this, I'll definitely be keep tabs on the progress with hopes to see this actually come to life!

I have a PC-compatible Wyse PCE. This does not really scream "Wyse" to me. The bump is really the only retro design element, it was present only on the Terminal-interface models of the PCE and it is too small.

Is there a screen in the upper right corner? If so, can he change the content himself?

Love this board, very classy design. It’s both retro and contemporary in design at the same time. The top accent bar with the small screen on the top right look amazing, and all other design elements just work so well. This is one of the very few boards left that I’m looking forward to. Good luck with this!

Loving this. Super interested. I prefer the more compact render B design, but A isn't a deal breaker or anything.
