Hello everyone! We are Toptiginn, a Latvia-based studio that’s been tinkering and creating phone and tablet stands for some time now.

We are relatively new to the world of mechanical keyboards, but since we got into it we have been captivated by it. We wanted to try new things so we decided to create a piece of what we do best: stands.

We present you the Toptiginn Premium Keyboard Display Stand: Tourmaline, our first mechanical keyboard stand, completely designed and produced by us:

it looks good and the design is nice. but personally i dont like that your logo is kind of the centerpiece of the design, since i don't know your brand. i only expect a logo to be the attention grabber of a design when it's a large commercial brand. it kind of makes it less of a keyboard stand to display my keyboard but instead tries to take away attention from my keyboard to make it about the brand which doesnt feel right

Make this a customizable badge that can be engraved with the board designer's logo or board's name and we're in better shape.

Make this a customizable badge that can be engraved with the board designer's logo or board's name and we're in better shape.

Looks great overall! Agree on the customizable badge, maybe like how Wuque Studio did it with their Ikki68 Aurora badges?

I think it’s cool to have a nicer high quality stand, I would want it without the badge at all as it distracts from the keyboard I’d be displaying. The base looks a bit heavy for my taste and again, distracts a little from the keyboard itself. But the thanks for sharing the design!

This is so nice and so unnecessary that i kinda want at least 3 of these, really interested to know the price, the structure looks so classy.

If there is only one thing that i would change is the logo at the middle, you should definetely keep it but not at the middle of the stand, if you would offer custom badges, that would be dope!

Honestly it looks great! Probably the best looking display option out there!

Customizable badges do sound hard, so if there were other universal options for the badge, that may help with the others’ concerns. Regardless it looks great! Looking forward to it! GLWIC

I have to agree. I like the design by itself, it's cool. But i feel like it is too ornamental to be stand for something else.. It looks like your going to need a stand ..... for your stand..
A more minimal design would be better.

I love the shape and design and though I don't in general mind branding, I do think your badge is too large and would take away from the Keyboard being displayed. Take another look at your design and I will keep watching. If you get this right, I would order quite a few of these.

Would you be able to remove the badge entirely for a cleaner look? The ruffles on the front, if that’s what you call them don’t look the best to me either. I think im realizing as I type this that im just boring asf. Anyways very cool idea. Good luck!

OP did say on IG that the badge is removable and they would like to collab with keyboard makers in the future to make badges with their logo. They also said they were working on the pictures w/o the badge so that should follow up soon.

I really like the design so definitely plan on getting a couple!

Me personally, don't like it when there is a 'potential' option for badges or 'potential' option for different materials being used. It adds another layer of cost for the consumer (different badge / shipping / taxes etc) which isn't nearly as pleasing as getting exactly what you want the first time. Just my thoughts.

EDIT: Also, how many times have you seen keyboard makers suggesting collabs / future plate options which do no materialise or materialise in very limited quantity which become extremely difficult to purchase due to demand. Not saying the OP isn't going to do it, just saying I don't rely on a future unknowns to dictate the purchase of said stand.

The stand was originally intended to have the badge but we understand that this decision is somewhat controversial and is not to everyone's taste.

We want to make it clear that there will be options without the badge, appart from the ones you see now.
We have to redesign the stand a bit because simply removing the badge does not work. You can see how the prototypes look without the badge and It obviously doesn't work.

We are working on touching up the design for the no-badge stand and creating some renders with the updated design.

We also wanted to mention that one of our goals is to collaborate with future keyboard group buys to create new versions of both the badge and the front piece.
Regarding personalized badges, right now it would be impossible for us to make different designs for different people in such los quantities. At least for now, maybe in the future it could become an option.

Hey! We're back with some news.

We've added pictures of the badgless prototypes. You can find them in the main post or here (https://photos.app.goo.gl/AiVbyK1wyJd1ZsSV7).
We have decided to offer the three badgeless designs rather than the most popular as we thought at the beginning! Of course, the designs with a badge will also be available for those who prefer them.

Additionaly, we decided to carry out the first run on our own rather than using vendors. This means that there will be less units available but don't worry, we are planning on bringing these bad boys back with vendors and in a bigger scale if everything goes to plan! For this batch we are planning on offering around 100 units, but it is not set in stone.

We are also working in the packaging right now. Once we have this finished, we'll update you with the final prices.

That's pretty much it for now, we'll keep you posted!

Hi to all who are interested in the project TOURMALINE. First of all, we want to apologize for being away from Geekhack for such a long time, during this time we finally decided to associate ourselves with the world of mechanical keyboards and moved in this direction, made proto of keycaps, keycap pullers, artisan box, and some proto of keyboards... and finally bought our equipment for production.

In the first two "Tourmaline" ic with and without a logo, there were more than 200 applicants. We would like to start with the no badge option (there will be 50 places in GB). In this case, we will be able to provide the proper quality and production of stands in the shortest possible time ...All of the prices and color variations you can find in the new IC form. :thumb:

After the first GB, we will be able to use all the experience gained to make a full-scale GB for everyone who wants Tourmaline with or without a badge.

If we understand correctly, you think that the stand is made of one block, but it is not. In IC you can see that it consists of three parts, for which you can choose the color yourself.
