Ok so I'm going to let this thread sit for a week, to ensure we have all the ideas we want for caps.

So far, I'm going to be running the raise your dongers cap, FrankerZ and a bunch of LoL Team Logos (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=50939.0).

If you have any ideas of what you want, post below and I'll whip up a mockup to add to the list :thumb:

I'm fine with only white caps, yet I'm just wondering what the other options would be, and how you could determine what colour backgrounds fit which image the best. Maybe a poll?

Just noticed there was an MOQ of 15, got a feeling some of the challenger teams wont hit that(lemondogs, quantic, cognitive, determined gaming)

I wasn't being racist. I just posted some pics of things i wanted to get made in to keycaps. I don't think theres nothing wronge with that. Everyone now a days so scared of everything -_-  i just wanted some nazi looking keys to go with a custom nazi ss gaskmask keycap i'm getting made thats all.

Honestly, just give it up.  Societal norms dictate that it's incredibly poor taste to post stuff like that, so it shouldn't be surprising to see this sort of backlash.  Even if it's allowed within the rules (I don't know), people calling you out for it is still acceptable.  Also, kmiller decides what gets made, and I'm tempted to predict that he might not be too gung-ho about the designs.

There are things every person believes and a set of ethical codes they uphold, which is their personal right.  But that doesn't mean that everyone believes and supports the same things.  Fact is, what you thought was perfectly okay is not really a popular opinion held by a lot of people, so I don't see why you are so surprised by people reporting your image choice.  I'm explaining it to hopefully prevent further drama in this thread, but it should be pretty clear to you already that some things are not going to get you positive public attention.

He does have kind of a point...It really depends where you live. I've noticed that in Asian countries it's not that taboo to have Nazi symbolism. There was an instance in India, some guy had a business named after Hitler (http://india.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/30/in-india-businesses-named-after-hitler-defend-their-decision/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0). In regards to the Nazi symbolism on keycaps, there is something that bothers me: communist symbolism (hammer and sickle, mainly) is perfectly acceptable here because most westerners think it looks "cool". We should be reminded that many more people died under Stalin's rule than by Hitler's holocaust.

So to play devil's advocate here: Why is communist symbolism permitted here, but not Nazi symbolism?

In any event, this discussion is going deeper than an IC thread for keycap logos should.  I'll just say that Communism is not at all the same thing as Nazism.  Bringing it up just makes for further thread derail.

I think it's because what Stalin did was pretty much outside the bounds of communism and was more just how he chose to rule, whereas what Hitler did was more in line with what Nazism stood for as a whole.  So communism at its core beliefs isn't necessarily how it played out.

That said, what Stalin did is definitely overshadowed and largely ignored, and it's worth pointing out.

TF2 keycaps are a good idea, I just wish the heavy logo wasn't so lame, since it's my fav class :/

I wasn't being racist. I just posted some pics of things i wanted to get made in to keycaps. I don't think theres nothing wronge with that. Everyone now a days so scared of everything -_-  i just wanted some nazi looking keys to go with a custom nazi ss gaskmask keycap i'm getting made thats all.

It could be done, but a lot of the small details would be lost in the process of shrinking and dyesub.

yea they are dye subbed. Imsto has done them but they are more of a special order and I don't think he offers it really. Also the thin ones tend to warp a bit from the heat in the process. You can see the warp in this picture I took a while back. I believe the 6th ann ones are done on a thicker key.
