【IC】 Cave 80 Bluetooth/Gasket/Screen/Curve

Hi guys, we are space fantasy, here we are with our new keyboard

Cave 80

this is our second project , the last one is all done last December, it's been four months since we start to design this keyboard.







Futures and Specs :

[Curve]

We choose to challenge a curve ID on this keyboard, it's basic concept is from super nature buildings and super car.

and the surface meets in G3 level continuity.

the curve on the top side is been extended to perform a supporting structure like the hand rest

and also it makes the keyboard a feeling of speed.

the curve will cost far more time CNC, and it's the main cost of the keyboard.







[Screen]

we also use a 1.9 inch screen on the keyboard, and it takes the functions of date/time/typing speed test/music wave/games, etc.

Behind the screen there is a illuminated area which can show rainbow colors and breath effect , and the color can be switched on keyboard.



[Cave]

there is a cave at the back of the keyboard, which simulated the entrance of a future building.

it used two different type of illuminating effect and enhanced the layering.

also the illuminating color can be switched on keyboard.



[Gasket Structure]

we use a gasket structure on the keyboard with a bending edge plate, it make sure the plate won't touch any part of the case when gasket in.

and it makes a fantastic elastic typing feeling.

also we filled with a whole acrylic pallet and Poron pads under the PCB to cancel the hollow sound.





[Bluetooth and battery]

It gets bluetooth 3.0 and bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4 wireless and wire mode , and can connect to five device at the same time .

you can choose a 18650 battery on ebay or other shopping site as you want , from 2000mAh to 4000mAh.(the battery is not included in the suit)

Status and Plan

- most of the design is done
- the first round sample is done and we should fix some design flaw.
- the second round sample will be made next month .
- most of the PCB design is done ,and screen functions is on going.
- GB start when second round sample is done , estimate in two month .

This has that slightly goofy feel of mid 90's "high tech" styling. Definitely one hell of a change in style and taste compared to most designs. It's not for me, but I hope this does really well just so that it shakes up the market a bit

Looks like an old console together with one of those old Microsoft keyboards. It does also look a bit cheap in the silver option as it looks like the painted plastic from an old Logitech mouse.
