Oof, very interested.Thank you!
Love the idea! I've already got a photoshoot planned with my C64 and older VIC-20.
Thanks! BTW I feel like the colors are a bit off. Maybe its a regional thing? I think my 64 has darker keys with white/offwhite legends.Love the idea! I've already got a photoshoot planned with my C64 and older VIC-20.
I am very envious of you owning C64!

Really interested in C64 theme and matching bbox60 again! Some feedback:The 1 :"restore"is too long to 1U,
- Modifier R1 1u pipe key does not have the same side print like the pipe key in the TKL kit, can we have that as well?
- Mac modifiers kit does not have control key "^", can we have those to be more standard?
Thanks!
Fair enough! Thanks! BTW I feel like the colors are a bit off. Maybe its a regional thing? I think my 64 has darker keys with white/offwhite legends.Love the idea! I've already got a photoshoot planned with my C64 and older VIC-20.

Well, I know that the color is not the original C64. First of all, it is because of the use of one-sided sublimation. In addition, I hope it is a re-creation rather than a copy. Hope you will like it after seeing the real sample.
So nice. Asia proxy?

most of buger's sets have appeared on ZF in the past, especially given that he is one of china's principal designers

I don't get the C64 reference? Or is that for the case only?
Font looks vastly different, color scheme is different, you have low caps mods whereas C64 had all caps. It didn't have any those little icons you are going with and why is there a Windows logo on a C64 inspired set?

Because of the C64 copyright, I didn't use their LOGO, I tried my best to make them look different. Hahaha
These kits could use some work. Please take a look at KAT Refined (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106725.0) and KAT Monochrome (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=106802.0) for examples of what a more approachable kit breakdown looks like. For example, the current split between the TKL and Modifier kits isn't very friendly to the majority of users.I don't see a big issue, will just need to purchase both kits. This is much better kitting than other CRP sets.
I agree with others there should be an option for no icons on the mods and the mods should be in all caps.Okay, I will seriously consider how to allocate this demand.
The heavy alpha font would look better centered like the original c64 too.
Love the color PETSCII front legends though. Super nice.
I'm down for this. I really wanted one of Buger Boxes just to have one. I missed the black one on Drop, and I have been going back and forth about the purple cyberspace one. I still may order the box. I am more iffy on the keys. Let me know where this will be in Sept/Oct.
@bugerwork,
As the BBOX60 case is running with multiple keysets and as a standalone both the case + stand, does there exist a sample or prototype?
Maybe just in another form regarding how the ABS plastic will be like ? The case concept is super neat :thumb:
Thanks! BTW I feel like the colors are a bit off. Maybe its a regional thing? I think my 64 has darker keys with white/offwhite legends.Keys on the C64 came in multiple revisions throughout the years. This keyset is a mix, using a font inspired by early C64s but colour scheme and legend placement more inspired by the later C64C.
I love the idea and the design.I currently don't think it necessary.
Are drawing symbols on the fronts dyesubbed or pad printed?
Could you add text Code/System keycaps too beside the Windows icons?
long shot, but any chance for a colevrak kit? :)If many people request it, it is still possible.

Given that the regular C64 has dark brown keycaps and beige caps were first introduced for the Golden Edition, shouldn't the Bbox case be gold?Thank you for your suggestion, it's great, but first of all, this is not a complete imitation. I hope the symbols from the past have a brand new feel, but if this design is not called C64, I don't know what to call it?Show Image(https://preview.redd.it/aqxfgfxwanz21.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=b01ab90f96b15397ba66fab08b601b6e7f826df9)
I actually agree with some previous comments, cool to see new CRP but the "inspiration" isn't clear enough to call this a C64 set.
May I ask if the beige matches previous CRP sets? I am a huge fan of CRP and this seems like a chance to upgrade my sets with the split spacebar kit (in addition to getting this set) :p
You are right, so can you do me a favor? Looking for a more accurate name? Thanks! BTW I feel like the colors are a bit off. Maybe its a regional thing? No legend is a perfect match to any original C64. On the original keyboards, only function keys have lower-case legends. And some examples of the C64 used the same keyboards as VIC-20's with a wide font reminiscent of Microgramma. (Then there's the SX-64 which is different altogether)
I like it! But I think that because the key set is so different from any actual C64, calling is "C64" would be misleading. It should have a new name.
Please don't use drop. I am begging you.Do you have a better recommendation in North America?

As someone who's not in the US, I'll appreciate a non-drop vendor for CRP.hahaha~~~
Let's not try an justify lost packages and extremely poor customer service... that's not a good look. Your experience clearly falls in the minority. You can tell this FACT, just by looking at the comments section on majority of the products they advertise... What's wrong with Drop? I've ordered 1,000, give or take, worth or product just this year from them, and never had an issue. Yes, there were problems during the outbreak of Covid-19, but considering that they operate off one of smallest staffs in the official capacity, it's hard to blame them for lost packages when people neglected to stay on top of their complaint forms or don't inform them that have moved until after they have moved. I've had nothing but wonderful costumer service out of them.

Hope this happens, the only reason i havent pick up a CRP set is caused by the lack of colevrak+ support

CRP PETSCII
CRP Microgramma (actual font the first PETs and VIC-20s used)
CRP BeigeBox
CRP BASIC
CRP LOAD*
Here are some suggestions that don’t directly reference C64
CRP PETSCIIThank you ! I like PETSCII,But as a name, it is still not as simple as C64, I will consider it.

This looks really clean. Is it still planned for September? Any pricing?I'm sure it will start in September, the price has not been confirmed yet.
How about CDRE64? CDRE as in commodore in terms of the naval rankIt's interesting, but isn't this the same as C64? ;D
I was just looking at purchasing a old Commodore 64. I am buying this when it goes to GB. :thumb:Thank you for your support, samples are being made.
When can I buy it?Should be in September.
I don't need to tell anyone how into this I am but damn the kitting sucks!
I don't need to tell anyone how into this I am but damn the kitting sucks!I have the same question. I am preparing to adjust at present. Can you put forward better suggestions?
Would recommend a second "B" for split/ergonomic layouts
Very nice retro feels. Had a C64 too when i was a kid (the bread box, with dark keycaps). Makes a good excuse to grab a CRP set, never tried one before.
Would you consider adding a vertical F-row, which would emulate the layout of C64 and fit on boards like J-01 ?
(this would mean additional rows for F3-F10)

Considering all the quality control issues with other key set manufacturers as of late, this has the potential to be one of the best key sets this year! great work! However is too much to ask for a standard base kit, ( ie alpha's and mods together at least)?Because of the particularity of the alpha area, I still think it is better to separate, but TKL will be adjusted, please pay attention to my updates.
This set on the newly announced U80-A in soya (off-white) would be a thing of beauty.
Will there be an Australian vendor? Dailyclack has run CRP sets multiple times now, I'd think they'd be a great choice. There must be.
Any possibility for a 40's kit? Love the theme on this.
any update on when the gb will start? There will be many updates in the near future, and maybe a group will start soon.
What I don't understand is the kitting. I'm not familiar with how CRP MOQ works so I can't really give any suggestions as to how to improve it without understanding the goal, myself.
2 sets of Alphas separate from a TKL kit seems fine I suppose. It's a good way to cover a popular format.
The Modifiers + TKL kit together is where I get confused. It seems like there's a ton of overlap and you're going to double up on a lot of keys just to get support for a 65% or non-standard 60% / HHKB / Tsangan layout. Meanwhile, there's an entirely separate kit of MAC mods?
Any idea when this will drop on Drop? I’ve been holding off on several other drops on Drop waiting for this to drop. I hope this drops on Drop soon so I can join the drop.
Looks like the GB date is 11/11/2020, and the new GB post is up: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=109469.0
