The case is very well-built, although I think it's a ugly combination, wood case and plastic beige keys.
He has a model m space saver too. It can be seen with the monitor stand project.
Maybe was afraid of ruining it so used the crappy rubber dome one.

I bet he could make a business out of making and selling custom cases, even get some protective enamel coating going on, paint jobs, etc.

I would buy one.  The problem would be key spacing, though.  The spacing between the letters, arrows/page nav cluster, and the numpad is tighter on my Filco than my Cherry.  There just doesn't seem to be a "one-size-fits-all" solution, which is a shame.
