Prototyping a 5° inspired macropad
« on: Sat, 22 February 2020, 23:32:27 »
I recently designed and printed a macropad to match my favourite case, the kbdfans 5°, and have made it functional thanks to the fantastic bdn9 pcb by keebio. I'm currently working on a PCB design to clean up internals.

I put in a quote for manufacturing with rapiddirect to potentially run an IC, and wanted to know if anyone had experience with them regarding quality and speed to produce an aluminum version to match the anodized finish of the case. If this is an interesting project to enough people I'll reach out to kbdfans to get permission to use their design.

I was also hoping for just general feedback on this project; I've been a reader of this forum for years but haven't made an account as I have had nothing to contribute until now. Thanks in advance
