Looks dopeo
The elevated front face reminds me of the F&T 1916, which is also being IC'd atm.
Looks nice, is there a price estimate of around how much it's going to cost?
Wow, very nice price. What's the angle on the board?Looks nice, is there a price estimate of around how much it's going to cost?
Probably around 240USD, then piles up with additional parts options if you need them. :D
Looking good. Any plan to offer the wireless version here?

It's pretty similar to a Leopold FC750R without those two raisers open, which is a comfortable and stressless angle imo when I type on it.
Looks interesting! Is the logo on the top right mandatory, or can we get the print screen / scroll lock / pause keys there instead?
I would probably pick this up if it was offered with the Winkey (like in the prototype)
I'm curious why you chose 6063 AL vs the more common 6061?
EDIT: More common for machining purposes, to clarify.
I like the price and the angle and the design. I'd also vote for win keys and the upper right key cluster rather than a logo.
Looks good! For the first round of boards what color options will be offered?
do you have pictures of the proto pcb?

Prob dark gray, black, siver, dark red, gray blue, armygreen, and white. ;)do you have pictures of the proto pcb?
Not yet, but the color, pads and RGB leds will look similar to this:

that actually looks promising. I may be inclined to purchase just a pcb if ever it is offered.
I'd be in for white and blue.
What's the possibility of a hotswap PCB? Close to zero soldering exp myself but I really like the keebs design.

Kind of hard. If you are talking about Kailh hotswappable socket, it doesn't support multi-layouts.
We might come up with a no blockers version so that makes it even more not possible.
Thanks for liking the design. :thumb:
Talking about hotswap, I am sure that we'll have a project for it in the future.
Soldering is easy, I only started this year and I made no mistakes on my first board. The harder part for me honestly still is still PCB programming. If it doesn't have an easy GUI interface like for KBDfans boards/DZ60 etc, I can't really figure out flashing a custom map on QMK. Most of the tutorials out there are ridiculously obtuse. What's the possibility of a hotswap PCB? Close to zero soldering exp myself but I really like the keebs design.

Thanks for the reply! Good to know. Guess I'll start learning how to solder then xd

White option and I’m in
I actually really love the the first design with the nameplate. I would love that with WKL :(
Is the Silver like the CA66 white-silver?

Most people need those 3 keys according to feedbacks. So we put them back.
Yeah, the silver would be similar to CA66's. If you want it whiter you can just pick up a white one. :thumb:
I'm not a big fan of logos above the arrow cluster, but I understand your desire to advertise your product. If you must keep it there then you must, but I would definitely prefer to have a clean area above the keycap cluster.
Consider me interested. I look forward to how this IC turns out.
...can I just get the old version with logo then?
Very nice, please no logo above the arrow keys.
Also can we get a switch top opening place?
Thanks
Can you please remove the engraving? It ruins an otherwise nice design.
aha, the rounded wedge matrix design trend has begun in full
Looks great. Are you really only making 20?
Hi guys! Updated some renders without logo and moved it to the back plate.looks great! gives the logo plenty of room to shine, and keeps the top nice and clean.
Looks cleaner? ;)

The new render is nice! Though if you want to put the logo in the top piece its fine, just mind the sizing and spacing, and of course its font. Because the previous rendition of the logo on the top too big and spacing is off, gave away the clean look
6063 performs better when anodizing. I had the same doubt as you when discussing with the factory. :p
+1 to the new render. I don't mind logos but I like the top to be generally pretty clean.

Interesting! Today I learnt!
looks quite promising ! could be in a for a white with winkey
I'd definitely be interested in a winkey model!
Any idea when the gb would start?
I'm interested!
Am I understanding right that a win key model might be produced as a round 2?
Wherever the logo ends up it I really like it. Very Art Deco and suits the board quite well!
excited to see how the white looks, that's the color i'd want to get myself. the polycarbonate bottom looks nice too. super excited for the actual gb to start!
Every one of the special colors is amazing.
The blue is incredible! Thanks for the WK render
Looks great! I'd be interested in a dark grey or white.
I like the price and colours.
Is there a Pantone match for the rose gold?
Oh wow, deciding between this and Kbd8x R2 is going to be hard...
Will Doppio support QMK?
Rose gold is beautiful. Is that going to be offered in the upcoming CA66 GB as well?

Yes PCB is powered by QMK firmware. Please check out PCB features in main post. :thumb:

Thanks. Lol, no wonder I missed that it was QMK :DShow Image(https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/b44joihhwjck768/Screenshot%202018-07-08%2004.51.00%20%28ShareX%29.png)
One more question: Would I be correct in assuming that the final case design will not have the “DOPPIO” text embossed above the arrow keys?

It did offer in last round. So surly we'll do it again. ;)
Will the Doppio GB be up around the same time as CA66 R2 (~end of month)?
It will be expected quicker than CA66.Alright, cool, that's good to hear.
I believe I will get the white color sample soon. :p
Also can we get a switch top opening place?Switch top opening plate is not stable imo. I did like it before until I found my switches crooked when soldering. :(
Will the plate (both alu and brass) support switch top removal?
Edit: Never mind, I just saw the post on the previous page:Also can we get a switch top opening place?Switch top opening plate is not stable imo. I did like it before until I found my switches crooked when soldering. :(
I still think switch top removal support should be considered.
I would prefer no graving on the top case. They've confirmed that there will be no engraving/lettering on the top case.
Theres only 20 being made ? will it be FCFS or Raffle ? any ETA on when the buy starts ?
Really interested in a white WK version.
Any update on the GB for this ?
Nice !!! That would be the color I'd like to get ...Any update on the GB for this ?
We are hoping to get a pic of white sample tomorrow. ;)
Picked up a failed CA66 case to try electrophoresis for white color. :p
(Attachment Link) (Attachment Link) (Attachment Link)
What do you guys think?
I prefer the surface to be matte a bit more. Don't know if it's possible.
If not, I am still happy to see this result at the moment. ;)

I think it looks good but I think that I am going to go for a green board to match with my nuclear data keycaps. Is the board going to support iso since I live in denmark it's a kind of a pain to use ansi
Looks pretty great! I'm good with the shine personally, although I wouldn't mind it being a little more matte.
I would be in for a white WK! I think the finish looks pretty great.
Down for a blue WK ;D

i'd prefer a more matte surface as well, but i think it looks really nice as is. would totally get that white color to be honest :thumb:
Is the space bar 7u in the win key version too?
Man, that price...it’s too good!
am I safe to assume that pcb-mounted switches will still be usable along with brass switch plates?
BTW, awesome keyboard, especially the white one! I think I'm in to get a hand on one of those beauties.
Great Job! :thumb:

The plate doesn't matter, it's the PCB. And surly the all support PCB-mounted switches. :D
Thanks for the love. :p

Thx for the reply! Also another question, this might sound dumb since I am a keeb newb, but you mentioned
that the pcb's LED is south-oriented. This means the switches' led are at the bottom-side of the switches (closer to the user), right?
White looks great but I would also be interested in a more matte finish.
Also quick question on the design, is the case/plate is a top mount and is it a high profile where the bottom of the keycaps are hidden? The initial renders make it seem as if they are exposed.
How scratch resistant is the white finish?
I saw this thread when the first renders were up and i felt it was kinda "meh", now as i come by just by accident (browsing gh that is^^) it went up to "must buy". Good job!
May i ask what color is presented in the first picture (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0014/1934/6038/products/0702_tkl.01_silver_1024x1024@2x.png?v=1532713685), the link says silver so i'm unsure what to select.
Also, may i suggest an option to add on the Polycarbonate bottom plate (instead of only being able to choose between Aluminum and Polycarbonate), extra switch plates and extra PCBs?
Thank you for your time.
Looks gorgeous. I've been looking for a new ISO TKL for a little while, so really excited I found this!
I would absolutely be down for a blue, and maybe a white depending how matte it ends up looking. I suppose I'll finally have to learn how to solder as well. :-[
The page mentions south-facing LEDs -- does this have keycap lighting as well as the underglow, or did I misunderstand?
Yeah i wanted a silver finish too.... :(
@playKeyboardTW did white completely replace the white-silver then? :(
I think a real white, not fake mao white, it's a great option. Whether it is electrophoresis, cerakote, or powder coat doesn't matter too much to me, as long as it is white white white. Not the bamboozle grey that is mao white.Yeah i wanted a silver finish too.... :(@playKeyboardTW did white completely replace the white-silver then? :(
You guys all expected to have silver? I though most people prefer white to silver.

It’s already on their store. They only have 10 spots left so get in fast. They will be running an open gb after CA66 if you can wait.

1 to 1.5 month approximately if everything goes smoothly. :thumb:
Noob question, looking to pick up custom Keebs and soldering. are stabilizers usually included for custom keebs or must I buy separately?Usually they are not included in the kit.
Any news about the pre-sale boards? Last update is from 3 month ago.
I ordered one but didn’t receive it so far. I assumed they weren’t ready yet. To be precisely, last update I’ve got was 13. of November.

You should definitely bother them about it, just shoot em an email.

- Where do you guys ship from, possible to declare lower value so people have not to pay 1/3 of the price to customs?
