Based on the Korean shaved ice dish comes a unique red bean colored GMK set. Using two custom RAL colors and GMK's CP the distinct color of red bean is achieved.

What's wrong with using a custom color? A spectrophotometer is being used to analyze samples and GMK is very cooperative to matching customer RAL colors. They also have the same RAL D8 deck that I have on hand.

As someone who has done color matching with GMK, I can tell you that GMK takes it very seriously. The samples I received, even on the first try, were extremely close to the Pantones - Pantones, not RAL. They profess to being able to match RAL colors even better. I would not worry about it.

Been a very hard environment for child kits.

A spectrophotometer was used to measure/record the reflectance over wavelengths on the RAL color swatches. We will run the same test on the GMK samples we received.

TLDR: The alpha sample is spot on and passes the test. The mod sample is slightly darker/saturated (going to request second sample)











The important values to note here are DELTA values. The RAL swatch was re-recorded to check for consistency and the readings from the keycap was from the side of the cap where the texture would interfere the least.

The DeltaE_ab is the euclidean distance between the sample and reference on the CIELab colorspace - which takes into account the human visual system; at neutral a DeltaE of 1 is considered a just noticeable difference. The spectral reflectance measurements are purely about how the materials reflect a standard illuminant. the plastic for sure has some kind of peak in the near infrared but the important part is the number of times that the lines cross each other while having very similar shapes.

A straight percentage difference of the reflectance graphs would not make much sense, the human visual system is not linear and varies per wavelength. Taking the reflectance and putting it into a color space such as CIELab and then calculating a difference provides (DeltaE_ab) as close as you can get to a single number to describe difference.

There were actually a fair amount of extra 40's kits ordered relative to how many sold because Projectkeyboard and its partners were nice enough to buy out the MOQ, so your chances are probably reasonable at getting both a base extra and 40s.  There seem to be GMK delays across the board so theres still a while before they would go up.  Your best bet would be to subscribe to the newsletter and watch for updates https://store.projectkeyboard.com/

Just got mine also. Colors are fantastic - every time I look at the caps I crave Adzuki bean desserts (had a lot of red-bean paste pastries growing up lol).


The 6.25u spacebar was a bit warped, but works fine.

This is really minor, but I did notice the circles on the 5 % key look really thin. OG Cherry double shot for comparison.

IMO it actually looks better. Comparing a set of Nines to OG Cherry I noticed that the newer legend for '#' on the 3 key was also more properly sized on GMK.

I noticed the change in icon modifiers also only after I received my shipping notification and relooked at the keyboard renders.

The kit renders show the centered icons but the keyboard ones didn't.

I believe it was changed late in the IC after gauging interest. I wish it came with OG mods and had I payed attention to the IC, would have voted for OG. But bingsu came out damn near perfect so I can deal dixie mods

Unfortunately, PK was forced to dissolve recently so unsure how it would be able to move forward (at least for US orders). Might have to be picked up by another vendor to fulfill orders but that is TBD.
