Here is a 2016 thread.

Free agency is here, and Brock Lobster is getting P A I D.

Also the Falcons are going with a Wild Cat offence with Mohammed Sanu XD
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

My Texans finally have a franchise QB. RIP Broncos.

I think the Texans are going to be formidable this season.

Sad to see that Foster went free agent. But with his injures not many people are looking at him.

Dude was a beast when he was healthy.

He was who the broncos wanted to replace manning.

Hes been benched since manning took over, but I think he will be a good fit with the texans.

We have good receivers and a good line. All we really need is a QB that doesn't crumble in the pocket. I mean we got to the playoffs with QBs that where 3rd string quality. Our running game and defense had to carry us the entire season.

The games he started last season weren't great.

11TD, 6INT, 61% completion. M8, I think he's average at best. He should have stayed at Denver.

Come on Bromono, let's get out of here and live in Texans paradise together. First time they've shown some balls and made a move. It's essentially a two year deal since all the money is up front. If it doesn't work, they clean house and start over. At least they are finally trying something.

Sorry. I just think they would have been better off working on a rookie.

The Broncos will be in a better position in three years time. Even with the poor QB class this year.

Sorry.

Actually, the Jets are the ones going wildcat. Bilal Powell has a 100% completion rating and 30 YPC. Going with the triple option!

You can always tell the people who didn't see the games.

Look The Lobstah may end up working out, but the reality is he's a complete gamble at this point. He had one of the best defenses in the last 15 years, and a really great receiving core to throw to and he still put up marginal (at best) numbers. People have been saying since he was drafted that he has all the physical tools, but the mental side just isn't there, and you saw it in his starts. And just think, it's not very often a team let a good QB (backup or not) go to the end of their contract...

Also, Broncos fans have seen this kind of off season before... Julius Thomas ring a bell?

Though, I am no expert on football. Texans have not had a good quarterback since carr in my opinion. I am just happy to see that we have someone that is not a 3rd string quarterback.

It was a rather sturdy saucepan before, but now it looks like a slightly smaller saucepan.

That's not a very good utensil analogy. Yes our secondary is bad. Our LBs are p good though, its just our corners and safeties that are awful.

Yeah, so that's why I made the quip about watching the Bronco's games. Brock was worse than Brian Hoyer in every statistical category except completion percentage ... and wins, which was mostly the defense.

No needs to get your jimmies rustled.

Oh I'm not rustled, it's just that all most people saw was "The Broncos went 5-2 with him, he must be great!" when the truth was we went 13-3 in spite of our QBs.

Hoyer was actually playing very solidly this year. Not really sure why they deciding to swap out QBs so often.

No no, this is the point. Hoyer had every disadvantage, and The Lobstah had every advantage,  and Hoyer was better in nearly every possible way.

Edit:

Now Brock definitely has the higher ceiling, but don't get your hopes up about 2016.

The thing everyone is forgetting is the Broncos had a dreadful offensive line and zero running game. The Texans line was better last season. A single snap hasn't been played yet and all your armchair analysts are ready to say bust. K

I wouldn't call 17th in yards "zero running game." Houston was only two spots better. And while it might not be a bust, per say, I wouldn't call it a particularly good deal.  And not that I like to base everything on PFF, but their numbers actually put the Texans' O-line one spot worse than Denvers (I can't speak on either past that since I didn't watch the games that closely)

See above. Don't know if it was a good deal or a bad deal, but for a franchise that's never done anything like this it's a BIG deal.

I know no snaps have been played, but I feel confident basing my opinion on the numbers :p. And there's definitely no question it's a big deal, just whether it's good or bad.

See above. Don't know if it was a good deal or a bad deal, but for a franchise that's never done anything like this it's a BIG deal.

I know no snaps have been played, but I feel confident basing my opinion on the numbers :p. And there's definitely no question it's a big deal, just whether it's good or bad.

I'll put a little more faith in the guys that makes millions of dollars to make these decions over the Monday morning analyst. Just sayin. The Broncos had much better running backs with a coach that is all about the run. There is no question the Texans have a better offensive line than the Broncos.

I had no idea people cared so much about the Texans must be doin something right to bring up all this salt.

I'm not even salt lol, I don't even think we've taken this to all-out banter levels. There's plenty of guys that make millions that I wouldn't trust to build a team *cough cough Chip Kelly cough*.

On the plus side, Miller and Allen were nice pickups

I think Chip Kelly is going to be great in San Fran. He will have learned a lot from his Eagles experience.

Broncos went over 100 yds rushing in all but one game he started. But yes the line was a mash unit.

Wouldn't be fun to talk about otherwise :/

Well we will certainly see about that. I think he'll just cut everyone before they can retire or get arrested.

Seriously dude, I think it's amazing that the niners have gone from Super Bowl appearance to car crash in such a short space of time.

I'm not surprised. Coaching matters, and so does having a QB. Kaep was good with Harbaugh, but it was clear he needed him.

Ugh. And now Miami goes and gets an offer to CJ Anderson.

Welp, time to see if Juwan Thompson and Kapri Bibbs step up this season.
