It's the beginning of the end isn't it? First the GH60, then I'm elbow deep in a KMAC, then I become Profosist-esque. Just a beast at soldering and assembling boards. :p

Yeah, understandable. FWIW, the controller and SMD diodes/components will be pre-soldered to the board at the fab, so no need to worry on that front. Just need some PCB mount switches and someone's spare stock Poker case, and you're GTG.

Used http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180724932018 leather spray to colour the case. Dries in 15mins, I'm quite happy with the stuff. Can't say how durable etc but its made for spraying on leather shoes to change their colour, so must be a little durable.
The windows keys were made by taking two pcb mount switches and removing the tops, the gold contacts and using some flush cutters to remove the plastic from around the top. Then some squares of acrylic also sprayed.
Cherry sticker to finish off and it doesn't look too bad. It's got blue switches with o-rings and switch stickers.
Also thanks to mm87 for the new case, I'll be using it when the groupbuy board drops in :) also the The_Beast who's been real helpful!

the joints are all good (i just tested the board -- see the betatesting thread). i solder with 0.025 and a loupe so i just made sure there was a joint and moved on; i didn't bother flowing across the pad unless that was the only way to make the joint.
if i want it desoldered i'll send it to someone with an 808 :))

I'm sure my soldering could have been done a lot better than what I did, but I did it in two hours and with a pretty cheap soldering iron and tips. Just saying that anybody with a little patience and a little experience can do this. I do stress practicing on something you don't need or use, but that you can test after soldering and desoldering.
Now I want to get a soldering station like your new one :D .
I was thinking today (I know.. I should stop that ;) ), and I had a problem figuring out how I could have 1x windows keys instead of the 1.25 ones. Hmm.
Either 1.5-1-1.5-7-1.5-1-1.5 or 1.5-1.5-7-1.5-1-1-1.5 or 1.25-1.25-1.25-6.25-1.5-1-1-1.5I see! Looks like 15 is the number to shoot for, huh ;) . I think the 1.5-1-1.5-7-1.5-1-1.5 will be my layout. Now I just need to solve the spacebar stabilizer puzzle. Thanks as always, professor J.D.

Neat hasu, so is the suspend wake working normally now with this also? If so I need that code update :DRight. It supports normal wake up behavior now and this fix just merged into my github repository.
Don't rub it in, broheim :/. I only have white spacebars from the r3 moogle kit, and without a stab wire for 7x I can't use my cherry spacebar xD.

Only one little thing....that isnt a "big-ass-enter". Its just the "normal" ISO-enter. A "big-ass-enter" you will find for example on the Steelseries Boards or some older vintage boards. What plate and which stabs did you use?
I highly doubt it's plate mount since GH60 plates haven't been cut yet
So that would make it PCB mount cherry for stabilizers

Cherry black on beige. I got them from another member here who pulled them off of a G80-1800
It looks extra extra white because of the lighting and the camera used to take the photo. I suck at taking pictures and mine are all like that.

Careful with those clear tops. Sometimes the tops can have extra plastic bits inside the sliders that can get stuck. Look inside before you install each one.
BlueBar that is one gorgeous setup. Love the colors and choice of caps.

Only waiting on the PCB now. Setup will be Vintage Blacks on modifiers + spacebar and MX Whites on all other keys. Springs will be 68g gold, spacebar maybe MX Grey spring or something even heavier. Caps lock will be one of tins insane springs (so 150g or 300g). Titanium B-stock plate from mkawa, will be modded to be able to do to 2 keys instead of 2x backspace and then painted orange. LEDs will also be orange, but only on the inner keys to get a "glowing" effect - seen that somewhere on kbdmania more than a year ago.
Was thinking about going with a 10x spacebar instead, but this looks pretty neat with the orange I think.

Added custom Win Key blockers that I made and the Bro Caps Keyset to my GH60.
When I get the time Ill make better blockers, the edges are a bit sanded too much. I used ABS Plastic.

I noticed that some of you have Hammer cases! Are they all compatible with all GH60 PCBs?

first ISO and loving it,
my GF was using the board for her bills and told me the ctrl alt didnt work, so she switched them on the left side. never switched the right side yet since i dont use that side :P
panic ensued when i forgot the board didnt have a plate and she started yanking at the keys like mad man trying to switch them haha
