Hi,

you don't by chance still have that keyboard?

I once had three, but there's only one remaining (well after maaaany years they are allowed to give up) and I'm searching everywhere for new ones...

Believe it or not, if you use a G81 for an extended period of time, you start to get the MY switch mojo.  I have been using one daily at work for the past four years.  After extensive use you realize that the whole point of the MY switch is that you don't bottom it out and then once that realization sets in the mushiness at the bottom of the travel is no longer an issue (and the huge spring weight in the last mm of travel helps prevent bottom out).  Granted, I wouldn't pick the MY switches over the buckling springs I use at home.

I thought MY had to be bottomed out to actuate anyway?

It actuated about half way. The leaf spring can still bend significantly further after it is pushed into the membrane.

I see. Well at least MY still do that.

I actually ordered a G81 I snagged with doubleshots. I finally get to try Cherry MY as a bonus!
