Great choice! 55g, 45g, or Variable?

55g!

They're so pretty...

My black 55g is out for delivery still :'(

Massdrop?  Where mine's from.  I wasn't expecting it until late December according to their info, so it was a very pleasant surprise to get it to early.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I have HHKB already, and wanted something just a little heavier.  55g no-brainer.

Hmm I want a Hako now.. might have to be my next investment.

So I've had quite a metal few days..

Braided metal cables from Donut Cables, went with Stainless, Brass and Copper, the latter 2 to match...

Custom Alps plates! Brass and Copper. The Brass is Focus / SGI layout [1.5, 1, 1.5, 7, 1.5, 1, 1.5], the Copper is [1, 1.5, 7, 1.5, 1] with blocked corners, split right shift and split backspace. If anyone's interested they were done by LaserMaster (UK) - after some back and forth conversation and quotes, they were turned around in 4 days after I submitted final drawings and payment. With VAT and shipping they were about £50 each. The cuts and edges are super neat, I just need to get them polished and plated now so they stay shiny ;)

And finally...

Got this lovely custom made pen, brass and wood with a black rollerball. Nice and weighty with a very nice action. Made by a guy on Reddit that also makes custom wrist rests etc. Link to his thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/79snup/artisan_custom_exotic_wood_wrist_rests_and_custom/

Nice haul! I'd completely forgotten the M65-A had different color options for the bottom piece. My space gray with silver bottom looks rather boring sometimes.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

...

Then tried out the Alps64 PCB that will find it's home here. Enough Badwrench / Infinity mods to make a true HHKB layout, very nice:

Also got, but no photo, an ultrasonic cleaner to clean the other Alps switches I've and keysets I've been gathering for my Alps64 builds. Gonna have a crack at that tomorrow.
...

 :)) :))

This is indeed my Alps end-game, except that I want the blocked case in blue color.

I have an infinity PCB for the true HHKB layout, have been planning to do this for ages. Wait till I have finally bought an ultrasonic cleaner and enough Badwrench mods.

Wow, noticing some unusual item on this forum.
The acrylic stem (I believe it is not vulcanite) blends in well with the grain of this briar bowl. Who is the maker?
What is your to-go "baccy" so far?

Ben Wade!
It's my first pipe, if you don't count a Missouri Meerschaum. I never tried acrylic, but the stem is the original with this pipe and it was too nice to pass up. After only a few smokes I can say acrylic isn't my favorite.

I've had only a few blends so far, so no favorites yet. It's getting far to cold to smoke on the porch now, so I've put a halt to it until early next, or else if I go to a smoke shop soon.

That Filco looks like a Gameboy Color! Very interesting haul.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

Had an amazing mail day up here in the cold North!

Finally got my first Korean Kustom, the TX-CP in Titanium Grey.

I had Kin from TXkeyboards build it for me and also asked for an extra plate and PCB in case I wanted to try some other switches out later down the line.

The details:
65 gram Vintage Blacks.
Brass plate/weight.
Tuned by Kin (Switches and stabilizers lubed, film added to switches).

My current keyboard is a Corsair K70, so this will be a massive upgrade.
