i think all the sets running now have successfully clogged the pipeline, and the entire community is going to do alot of sitting around this year waiting for sets to be made

There's hype but the real question is will the hype carry over to Massdrop? GMK hasn't been doing very well recently on the site where every other comment is "Why are these keycaps +$100!?".

Plum had tons of those comments but it still sold what, 1500 sets or something?  All we need is 150 so I think the market is big enough for that to happen, especially depending on whatever changes were made to the set (could entice more people).

MOQ for GMK is 250 though? Plum would make me optimistic if SNES didn't already fail hard on Massdrop for the exact reason I already stated. Plum seems to be a huge outlier. My guess is that the colors were exotic enough to make people see that it was "special". Also the hype that one of the few female members of the community was behind it.

I really hope it is successful this time but I guess I'm just not trying to get my hopes up. REALISTIC HYPE!

Oh right, forgot it's 250 MOQ for custom colors.  But even still, even though it hasn't been that long since the last attempt, the market for custom keysets has been growing rather rapidly.  There are lots of GMK sets hitting MOQ these days being run through buys on forums only, never mind with the exposure of massdrop.  And then there are whatever changes intelli has made to the set which could draw more buyers as well.

Why would female community member hype?....
Regardless, with millions of SNES sold (and then even resold) as well drop requests MOQ is in the bag. so long as kits can accommodate all the funky board layouts.

Well here's what happened. Andy and I got the set all finalized with GMK and updated renders, then MD was like, "yeah btw we might not be able to fit it in this year after all." And haven't heard a peep from them since.
