WHAT'S UP
« on: Sun, 25 October 2015, 20:44:49 »
Not really the type to post online very often, but I want to be more involved! I really like artisans and I'm just starting to expand my collection. Admittedly I would probably still be lurking if there were no post restrictions for classifieds or brocaps but instead of being a hater, I'll just take the opportunity to be more vocal.

I'm still fairly new to mechanical keyboards, but a couple of my close friends got me into this hobby earlier this year. It's been exciting waiting for stuff to come through the mail and chatting about whatever keyboard thing we're interested in.

Currently typing on a Poker II with GMK Hyperfuse, Pexon aluminum case, neon turquoise Pexon braided cable, and War of Betrayal Aqua artisan keycap!

Shoutout to maxpegasus, lishi, and psykick for being my bros and helping me out.

Damn dude, nice keyboard! I just ordered Hyperfuse and it's going on my Pok3r so you've given me a great preview :P

Glad to see someone step up proactively to the recent restrictions instead of whining! Hope to see more of you around.

Oops forgot to say they're MX cherry clears! And thanks! Hyperfuse looks even better than the pictures imo. I think you'll like it. :)

Welcome to Geekhack!

Being involved in the community is what it's about, whether it's sharing pictures of your latest acquisition, or helping someone else with keyboard problems or a tricky construction dilemma.

And your Poker seems to tick all the boxes - where will you go from there i.e. which keyboard will you get next?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Aahh I have no idea! I've been slowly acquiring artisans to try and trade for a rarer cap. I really like the variety of art so I might buy a board solely to display artisans XD. It might also be fun to build my own so idk!

That's a good idea!  Rare caps do come up for sale or trade from time to time, so it's always a good idea to be prepared.
