I paid my shipping invoice a few days ago as people are getting their boards in I'm all aboard the hype train.  The acrylic spacer is optional right?

This is a stunning board. Which material is used for the gray-looking part of the weight? Is that aluminum?

There was another 910 posted on reddit the other day: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/6uppm7/photos_pinkpurple_tgr910/
That one had different bottom, however:

How many flavors of 910 boards do exist: VKC, 910 and 910 SE?

There are 40 sets of 910 made (not including VKC), 23 units for the GB here and 17 units of special edition for friends.

Not sure how many VKC though.

Shipping
- The last 5 boards will be dropped off at the post office by Wednesday, before the long weekend. Shipping invoices had been all sent.

Delayed units
- Units are being made to replace the damaged parts. I was hoping to fix the dented parts, but the results are rather unsatisfactory.
- The process is rather tedious because all parts come with a unique unit number. Machining for the replacement parts are done, just waiting for me to collect and send of anodization.

910 CE
- Unfortunately, I am afraid that I will need to do a quick run of 910 CE. I managed to get a discount for the machining of the replacement parts. The owner of the anodizing factory agreed to anodize them for free because dented parts were all caused by their mishandling. But the cost is still rather significant.
- I am thinking of making another 23 units of the CE, available only in black or gray (or both) and brass plate. Hope to conclude the CE project within 2 months time. Will put up interest check form later.
- 910 is one of my favorite boards when it comes to typing feel, a little surprising to me considering the number of boards I have in my collection (k, I know self praise is no praise). Will definitely make more of these from time to time.

Great news about the CE, I know a few of us who barely missed out were put on a wait list, will that give us any priority given it will still be limited?
also shame no purple but totally understand to keep colors limited. if it was up to me everything I owned would be purple

I should be able to prioritize those on the wait list. The thing about purple is that the factory that I use don't run that color very often, other than the MOQ, my concern is that if anything goes wrong, they might not want to redo the parts in purple.

Just want to keep this round of GB quick. Although people have been very understanding about the delays, it's still a little too much stress to take for me.

As someone on the waitlist who wanted a black 910, I couldn't be any more thrilled at this prospect. Hope things go more smooth to alleviate some stress. I know the reaction to the boards that have been shown off is overwhelmingly positive and hope that gives some consolation.

Ohboy sign me up.
The last time I was really unlucky and fell asleep just before the thing went life so I missed the FCFS part, RNGsus also wasn't with me back then.
Maybe I'll have more luck this time?

Did I interpret that last part correctly meaning there will be even more rounds of this? If so:  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Why is 19mm the perfect minimum thickness?

Great question, I personally wasn't too confident with going under 20mm tbh.
7.5mm over the plate for covering the switches, 9.5mm from the ledge the plate mounts to to the start of the bottom for enough PCB clearance and 3mm from there to the bottom face so there's more than enough clearance for the screws in case someone wants to use a different standard.
That 1mm difference could easily be shaved off on the lower housing by removing the generous headroom for screws in my case, but I digress.

This is actually a rather interesting topic. I got most of the dimensions by hand measuring the boards I have. 19mm is actually what I captured from the OTD boards. Boards from LZ, Lynn are all measured at around 19mm. Anything more than this range feels rather uncomfortable to me. Even for KMAC, which is measured at around 20mm. I don't remember measuring any board lower than 19mm though.

I have 7mm over the plate, 10mm from the face of the plate to the internal of the bottom case. My clearance from there to the bottom face is around 3mm as well. I suppose I can go another mm lower if I were to remove the brass weight.

Thanks for the insight, very interesting indeed.

If OTD uses 19mm too then, I guess I'll have to change a few things :p

Most of the boards I had were around 20mm high in the front, so I just aimed for that, borrowed measurements here and there and came up with what I have now. The most important part is how high the plate sits, as that determines how high the caps sit. I also went with a lower 7 degree angle as I really liked that on my Black Bird.
The 3mm clearence in the bottom is a bit different for me as I chose a similar point where the top and bottom case meet like Duck chose it, so my 3mm are in the very front of the case and there is no cutout on the top of the bottom part other than for the USB.

Status of all 910
https://goo.gl/NnFV4o

So will someone in the original GB have a chance to buy another plate/PCB in addition, if we want Brass?

I built mine last night :) It was very straight forward to build. I used 55g vintage blacks and JTK pink on black. Amazing job yuktsi, you can really feel the quality in this board.

I am not sure if I missed the instructions to get it working once you have soldered it up, but I asked CMD who was able to help me. Here is what I did to get it working:
1) Download bootmapper from winkeyless.kr and the firmware
2) Flash firmware
3) Create hex file and flash it to the board

The pink colours are different shades between the keyset and the board, so I opted to use the full pink on black set instead of the black on pink alphas that the set originally came with :)

Pink/red is such a pretty color on case. Regarding the bottom, is that a brass weight put into a ss weight?

I figured I should share some files and instructions related to the 910

Keymapping
1. Download Bootmapper from winkeyless.kr
2. Download the default keymap file keymap_gb_20170818211212.hex
3. Open Bootmapper Client > "Keymapper" tab > "Load .hex/.json" > tick "Reboot after uploading" > "Upload"
4. To edit keymap, tick "Toggle Bootmapper" > hit the key on the board that you want to remap > the corresponding col/row on the Key Mapper will be highlighted > change whatever key that you want to change > tick "Reboot after uploading" > "Upload"

Flash/Update firmware
1. All 910 PCB is pre-flashed with the latest firmware.
2. To flash/update firmware, download latest firmware from winkeyless.kr > go to "Option" in Bootmapper Client > unplug your 910 > hold "Backspace" and plug in > hit "Firm Up (Select .hex file) > select the file download from winkeyless.kr, ie. ps2avrGB_NKRO.hex > "Open"

Plate file
1. In-case you want to have your own plate made of different material, e.g. polycarbonate, brass, titanium...
2. In-case you need an extra plate.
3. Download here

PCB Layout file
1. In-case you want to make a different housing for your 910.
2. In-case you want to make your own 65% custom.

Definitely count me in on a CE GB! I would love to build a really nice 65% layout. I actually just got my hands on a Smart68 V2 but it's no TGR quality kit.

finally got a chance to put it together. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I don't have a pic of it completed (yet) but I do have a pic of it when i put everything together (minus stabs and soldering) in order to test out my switch and cap choice.
