Hi Matias,
Can we get an update for this GB? Any kind of update would be welcome. Like what's the latest development news? Is there hope of these every shipping?
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your question -- I do have an update...

To start, we'll be upgrading everyone to an aluminum case. The 3D design for that is already complete.

We've also finished the firmware to allow onboard macro programmability -- so no driver or software is needed, to programme the macros. We believe this is an important feature for a keyboard that's so small.

In addition to the wired version, we're also considering adding a wireless+wired model that would allow the keyboard to connect up to 3 devices (via a wireless USB dongle, a wireless USB-C dongle, or a wired connection). We were NOT planning on supporting Bluetooth, but that may change. Feedback is welcome, since we haven't finalized the wireless firmware yet.

The only thing left to finish is the mounting plate and PCB, but I don't foresee any problems there.

We will not be exhibiting at CES this year, but we hope to have the keyboard ready by that time (or close to that time).

One last thing I'll add... in addition to the 60% models, we're also doing a model with the function key row -- same layout as the 60% but with function keys.

Let me know if you have any questions or feedback...

Thanks,

Edgar

Edgar, I mean this in a non-judgemental concerned way:
you are adding features no one asked for or wants on a project that's 10 years late. Stop adding features, it seems like some sort of pathological compulsion that you can't finalize this simple product and ship it. It boggles the mind how you have a running business given how poorly managed this project is. It is also unethical to take orders on this product at this point without having a big warning on your product page that this project started in 2014 and has yet to ship units. Saying "maybe a few weeks or a few years" seems misleading at this point.

Matias:
@stbtrax, thanks for your post. Your points are well taken.

This project has not gone the way I originally planned, but it is very important to us, and we are nearing completion, in a better form than originally promised. I’ve always said that anyone who does not want to wait can request a refund at any time, and that still stands. I hope that you can wait, but I understand if you decide not to.

Thanks for your interest in this. I really do appreciate it.
