I could really use a custom cable for a pair of headphones. A very short (4-6 inches) cable, one end 1/8" male, the other 1/4" female phone jack.
Basically, this with a cable between the two ends:
I have this exact adapter, came with my headphones. The problem is, the combination of the 1/4" male plug on the headphones and the adapter exerts a
lot of leverage on a tiny little 1/8" stereo plug. So much so, that my son stepped on the headphone cable and ripped the headphone port right off my laptop motherboard...
Anyways. The name of the game is strain relief. Maybe even a right-angle 1/8" stereo plug, for additional peace of mind? Probably sell a few of these to the headphone thread guys as well.
