Yeah he posted last week saying that he was just getting slammed with work and life, he'll be back soon enough.

That's alright then - life does happen to all of us from time to time...  Is there not someone who could take over this until things settle down for him?  I'm mostly thinking to take the pressure off WFD for a bit - by the sounds of things a MASSIVE gb might not be that helpful to be running if things are that crazy at home / work...

The problem with "open beta" prototyping is that everyone wants a proto, just so they can have their GH60 "first." But in the first round, not everyone even built theirs up, do to lack of DIY assembly skills. Also, WFD had to solder almost everyone's SMD components, because hardly anyone was comfortable doing that. And to top it off, there wasn't much testing done, just people who wanted one to say they had a prototype. Most of the actual testing of them came from komar, myself, WFD, IvanIvanovich, Glissant, hasu, and dirge (sorry if I left anyone out). That's why we decided on doing a closed "beta" for this round, so we could work out any actual bugs.

Anyway, we are working on a solution. Hopefully I will have an update within a week or so.

what I was thinking is that if someone really wants a rev b. bad enough they can always send the files to oshpark and pay them to have a few made. yes it will be way more expensive but they will have it in purple :D

i think selling prototypes is a horrible idea; for one it would anger those who are in the queue for one already like me because if the prototypes are fully functional that pretty much means someone skipped the queue and will potentially sell it for profit in the classified down the road. I hope WFD comes back.....

To be fair that is probably a fair way off yet, I know Feng got a bunch of the current batch but I doubt MK will start selling them until all the bugs are worked out.

Thanks for thinking of me in regards to testing the rev a pcb, but I really didn't do much. I tested it out in the only ways I knew how. Solder and desolder, testing funky firmware stuff on different platforms, but that was about it.
Now that I have the experience I could have done more. Only problem would've been time.
Glad to hear that things are moving along though.
Best of luck on solving the issue :).

Yeah, I read that... but are they really going to wait until the last minute to order them?  The GB has been closed for a while and only thing going on is...well the "testing".  These components and switches aren't going to arrive any faster than the testing, so why aren't they ordered yet?

The last thing we want are the PCBs being done and we have to wait for the components.

Out of interest, what is the bug with the rev B's?

As jdcarpe said above, there is one confirmed bug. Someone independently had a Rev. B manufactured over in the "making stuff together" thread. He was complaining about something with the expansion connector (I think) and komar007 confirmed that it is a bug.
