Thinking about picking it up again when bored on the computer, what's a good pokemon to start on, like stated earlier in the thread haven't played since Crystal.
If you already own a 3DS system i bet the newest games will spark your interest, otherwise go for Emerald or something :)

I was just going to ROM it, but I guess I'll start with emerald, I do have a 3DS somewhere... oh lent it to my grandmother.

I agree, the new generation games are really fun and really make use of the newer technology with the 3DS to improve the gaming experience.  I like using the 3D mode sometimes and I do appreciate the better graphics while still having the same feel as the original Red-Blue series.

Does anyone have some of the old Pokemon GBA games that are real and not fakes that can sell me them. I want Ruby, Emerald, Fire Red, and Leaf Green. Most of the games i find on ebay are fakes some are real, but sometimes i think they way over charge for them.

I just found out that America won't be getting the New 3DS until 2015, which really sucks.
I was hoping to grab that and Pokemon ORAS at the same time, as I don't currently have a 3DS, and I am not buying a 3DS knowing I'm gonna upgrade a few months later.

Need some help, I've managed to collect all the badges in Omega Ruby and missed the rival battle on route 109 and thus don't have HM FLY, how do I get it now?? :/

According to the internet you get it from  the rival battle on route 119, perhaps you were just looking on the wrong route?

I didn't even know that it was possible to miss that battle. How did you manage to do that?
I'm not sure if it is possible to get it at that point. Have you tried to go to the place that you would encounter them to see if it would let you battle them? If you can't get it, you could always try to get a Salamence since it learns Fly at level 50.

I certainly hope not.  Catching the pokemon looked fun enough, but I'm still a little confused on what the battle system will be or what the overall goal of the game is.

Would still prefer the classic pokekom RPG franchise to come to mobile, but this looks like something a little bit similar, at the very least.

Good luck with that hope. Nintendo is pretty stingy on their licenses for characters, so don't expect a GameFreak backed game anytime soon. You could always use an emulator, however.

The battling system is what makes the game so fun! Checkout the Pokemon Showdown battle emulator and Smogon's strategy website for some good bits of info. :)

I am really disappointed on the lack of TCG talk in here :( wheres all my tier 1 netdeckers at!

The one thing that got me really excited about that new trailer was the world events.  Thats what was being yelled into teamspeak "OH **** WORLD EVENTSSSSS!!!!"  we all went hype.
