The wait has ended!

Bonus pics showing off the Ergodox mods I also got in the mail today.

That is one of the nicest Ergodoxes I've ever seen! Loving the carbon alphas!

Thanks! I wasn't sure how it was going to come together, but I think it looks pretty damn good.

Also, for the sake of staying on topic, the Kosmonavt sits really flush with SA R1 keys. I was going to try and scare together some cherry profile keys for another ergodox, but I don't know, it's too good of a fit I think.

Damn makes me want carbon  :))

I'm actually going to order some custom dyed modifiers for my HHKB to fit the color theme with my topre x15.

Not only am I excited for whatever comes next, but, as I clicked on the front page to learn more, I'm reminded of how much I love you cataloging previous cap sales. I catalog every artisan I get in my own spreadsheet, and it helps a ton when artisans retain all the original info of the raffle.

That is some Koala-T work you two have going there. Kudos.

I've been taking the weekend to lay low and work on a few of our future releases. Haven't really had the chance to address everyone. Thank you all for the amazing support throughout the past sale. It really is an honor to be a part of the community and seeing all the caps coming in has been very heartwarming for Koala-T and I. We hope we can continue to amaze and surprise. Kudos and godspeed!

This thread will be updated with all upcoming/current sales information that KeyKollectiv will be releasing in the future.

One Year Anniversary Celebration

On March 18th, KeyKollectiv celebrates our one year anniversary. The original plan was to wrap up Kosmonavt around that time and tie it into our 1 year. Unfortunately, Koala-T and I have gotten quite good at logistics and were able to clear out orders much faster than we had anticipated. So here's the deal. KeyKollectiv would love to give back to the community. Your continued support and encouragement has given us the drive to continue putting out work.

On the 18th, we will begin the festivities by doing some giveaways. This will occur here on GeekHack, Slack and Instagram. A few things up for grabs:

  • Mtn Dew Caps: The very first blanks that Kudos made more than a year ago
  • Meowcaps V1
  • CMYKeys grab bags
  • KKMod partial sets
  • A few choice SnacKeys/li]
    • Meowcaps V2
    • Key-Walas
    • Unique Kosmonavts

Giveaway will be based on first come-first serve and will likely involve KK trivia questions so study up on our blog at keykollectiv.com . Thanks and we look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with you!

Would you be able to give a really rough estimate of when this would drop? Bcs if it's soon i'd have to drop outta 1976, gotta stay in budget. Really interested in this, hyped to try my first custom case. :)

I'd pessimistically guess 4-6 weeks from now, but perhaps earlier if things go smoothly. The machine shop is working on a final sample using what would become the production tooling, along with sample riser feet.

  • A few choice SnacKeys
  • Meowcaps V2
  • Key-Walas
  • Unique Kosmonavts

Giveaway will be based on first come-first serve and will likely involve KK trivia questions so study up on our blog at keykollectiv.com . Thanks and we look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with you!

Just read through all of your blogs and I am inspired. I'm only at the Novatouch stage of my life and reading your stories makes me want to venture out to the adult Topre life!  :p

Also, I want people to see KeyKollectiv (kudos & koala-t) not as a cap churning machine-business (extreme, I know) but as a hard working, dedicated, and zealous duo who goes through so many trials, tribulations, and late nights to bring us these amazing caps. Often times I think we dehumanize Artisans because we just see a product and a price but we don't see the toll it takes on the makers nor do we see the amount of work and investment it involves. I for one, after reading the blog and having a chat with Binge, view Artisans a lot differently now.

Keep up the good, KK, and happy 1 year!

Same here. I'm new to the artisan world and it was actually a really interesting blog. Took a while to get through, but entertaining it was.

I also am glad to have read through the whole blog, I had previously probably only read a post or two. Getting a feeling for the process they go through is fun and makes me want to support them. I didn't win this one but maybe the next sale with make KK my first artisan.

Thanks for taking the time to read the blog. The original intent of maintaining the blog was to document the journey for ourselves. It's amazing to hear that we have a bit of a following now. Your encouragement is much appreciated.

On another note, new blog post is up. It's short.

I like that you recognize your shortcomings and worry about your art. It keeps you grounded. At some point there will be something you release that isn't received as well as the rest of your work, but remember, not everything you do can be the "best" (that being said, everything you've done is superb, some might just be a little more superb than others).

I think it's safe to say that you are among one of the most well-liked artisans around right now. You could do only one release a year and we'd all still come running to your sale and sing your praises. Don't burn out just yet. It looks like you're just getting started.

Best of luck!  :thumb:
