This will be for the GB for Gateron PBT Single Colour Blank Keysets.

4x single colours: white (MD calls it milk), beige, light grey, dark grey

5x two-tone:
darkgrey mods/beige alphas, darkgrey mods/lightgrey alphas, darkgrey mods/white alphas
lightgrey mods/beige alphas, lightgrey mods/white alphas

Format of two-tones (borrowed from Ivan):


Gateron offered two whites, one was blindingly white white which hurts my eyes to look at (imagine hardcore white CC) and the other was normal white which can be likened to pure milk white.

This GB has the milky daylight white white. Not the blindingly white white.

My white should be the equivalent of MD's milk, hard to tell unless they got better pictures.

And they don't have my beige.

From left to right: Dark Gray, Light Gray, Beige, and White.

Included also in the photo are pebble (F8) and pearl (F9) key caps from a Model M for color comparison.


Keysets are $28/set (single) $30/set (two-tone), normal mail shipping included for anywhere in the world.

Well let me be the first to suggest Light Gray main + Dark Gray modifiers, aka the Dolch color scheme. Dolch is quite popular, so I'd imagine some people would be interested.

Gateron molds in sets of 117, they'll have to take apart another set to add the keys. Not willing.

Ask Vortex on the 2 keys + the ISO enter and run a ISO kit?

Regarding the profile, I would expect so. I think infiniti manually charted that image, I don't think I got that from Gateron.

For those of us who don't use a numpad, we can get the missing R3 1u from it as well. And the "+" key should work as ISO Enter (it will leave gaps left and right, but might do until we source a proper Enter cap).

All that's missing is the R4 1.25u for Left Shift. We could use another R4 1u for it (also leaving gaps).
I'm building a 60% so I'd probably get some fancy 1.25u mod to use as Fn in place of Menu, which would then free one R4 1.25u cap to use as ISO Left Shift.

Does the numpad "5" have the same raised bar as the homing keys on the home row, or is it a dot?

I think it's beige/light grey just because the mains look darker than the ones in the very first pic, but it's hard to tell because of the difference in lighting.

I'm not sure that vortex has an iso enter in cherry profile. All I saw was iso oem. Let's hope :-)

Basically, sorry to tell you but you're not going to get it as it doesn't exist. Only place known that has ISO enter key mold in Cherry profile for PBT is Cherry themselves... and they have never released blank ISO PBT sets or any boards with them as far as I know. Additionally, Cherry PBT have a very fine texture not a course and rough one. Only stuff they made a long time ago is thick, current PBT from Cherry is thinner.
Closest you are going to get would be to take one of groupbuy sets in ANSI, like those I run for example, and pair it up with an ISO enter key from vintage Cherry set or GMK.
