What gives 'em away is that these block out quite a bit of light so you have to set your keyboard to max brightness to get a good amount of color.
I'd say max brightness with the color changers is equivalent to the lowest or second lowest brightness without them.

It used to be a G2Pro.

I used pieces of it for another project. I really liked it while I had it all in one piece, but I needed that plate. In the picture I am testing a possible backlighting mod. I may get some more switches and use it without the plate someday, but with low level full backlighting.

With a little jiggery-pokery and a few extra parts soldered on, yup :) I found which lead feeds the WASD backlights and jumpered it to the LED lines to the rest of the board. Need to bridge the "resistor" points in a few places, too. Haven't tested with more than just the 2 LED's so it may need an FET upgrade too, to handle the current (piggyback another on top of the existing one). I plan to run the LEDs at lowish brightness anyway, so it suits me. Was just something I was playing around with last night.

Of course you don't get the full lightshow of a Shine, just on/off.

Very nice. I have two of that model. One with Blues and one with browns. I love the one with blues, but I personally don't think the one with browns feel that good with cherry stabilizers. So iam going to put the caps from that one on my DK9087 G2pro with blues.

I guess since I posted the gutted G2Pro earlier, I should also post the result.

This is my custom ergo board made with Ducky plate pieces and switches with white PBT caps:

Still busy modding the switches and fine tuning it a little (this is why there is still hot glue all over and unfilled holes), but I use it as my daily driver at home :)

But why do you have your spacemouse in the center? seems like an odd way of using it :D

This reminds me of some thick cardboard cutouts my other half has of her and her dogs when she was younger.  They don't spin around though.

Looks great!  Do you know which paracord color name is on that cord?  I love it.

Thanks ;D

The paracord color is called "Panther"  at Mimic-cables.

Considering buying a Ducky TKL aswell, but I want another switch than browns now since I already got browns on my Noppoo and Ducky Minis.

I guess since I posted the gutted G2Pro earlier, I should also post the result.

This is my custom ergo board made with Ducky plate pieces and switches with white PBT caps:

(Attachment Link)

Still busy modding the switches and fine tuning it a little (this is why there is still hot glue all over and unfilled holes), but I use it as my daily driver at home :)

That looks so comfortable, but also like a metric ton of work.

How do I get keycap color changers?  I have a blue led Ducky 3; and, would like to make the ESC key semi transparent red.

Got some plastic color changers for my YOTS today

Can't change blue to red :(

If you put a red colour changer thingy on it it will just turn sort of purple.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
