This has been an awesome group buy. From the interest check where we started from an ugly purple and orange mockup (no offense njbair) to E3E casually suggesting his blue and white/gray color scheme; and geniekid, the name Alpine Winter is genius. Oh and don't forget the one that suggested to use nubbinator's Alps legend  ;). I think what made this GB great was all the feedback you took into consideration like legend colors, fn keys, and even 2u blanks! So really, thanks for coordinating this GB. I'm sure it took a lot of work up to this point and there is still a lot of work ahead so I really appreciate it!  ;D

Hey guys I changed my mind. We're going back to my original proposed colorway:

And it's all G20 profile, right?

The community-driven aspect is the most amazing thing about this whole groupbuy! I never imagined that it would turn into something like that. I figured it'd be you know, the OP has a solid idea of the set design and just runs an IC with little changes, but this whole thing was pretty much put together by everyone who stumbled upon the IC thread and njbair! So awesome.

Having seen it in person, they are convex. Apparently the 910+ fixes this awful keycap design.

I actually like orange with purple, but the legends / green touches really hurt my eyes. Looks like rainbow sherbet.

That spun off into a separate thread. AFAIK they decided the set should come with no homing keys at all. It's too sensitive a topic and we want Alpine Winter to be a trigger-safe keyset.

I AGREE!! Oh well, bright colors are too polarizing. People either love or hate and there's never enough who love them to get a set made. Meanwhile, here I am still hoping nubbinator's Manly Unicorn set becomes a reality. I like the bright colors otherwise everything looks so derivative. Oh well, I guess it's safer for my wallet that way.  :p

Really nice design, but I wish it wasn't DCS and ABS, one of the less desirable SP combinations to me.

Can't wait to see how it looks in photos though. ^-^

Hey, folks. I know it's really late but I have some great news. We're going to be able to lower some prices! Here's the rundown:

6U & 6.5U spacebar packs were $7/ea., now $5/ea.
Novelty packs were $7/ea., now $5/ea.
Blank 1U caps were $.07/ea., now $0.60 (some even cheaper).

It's not much, but it's something!

In other news, I've also finalized shipping costs for CONUS orders so I can begin sending out invoices in the morning. Taking a cue from other wise GB leaders, I'm going to invoice shipping separately for non-US orders. I'll send out international shipping invoices once the caps are packed up and ready to ship. That way I can provide exact package weights.

Lowering prices before sending the invoice?  What kind of well-planned GB is this?

Good idea. International shipping is a *****, just ask Massdrop - they keep listing 30 USD to send me tiny things like full-size keyboards or over-the-ear headphones! Should be easy to slip in an envelope if you ask me...

With the 30 days invoicing period does that mean the order will not be sent off until end of November?

No that's actually a default thing in my accounting software...I should have changed it. I'm hoping to take payments by the end of the week if possible. It's not like we didn't know this was coming.
