Wow by the time the Tapatalk notification came through, the thread was locked already :(
Not for me :/
Maybe its my settings? Or the good old Aussie latency

I had no luck using Tapatalk, didn't matter how on the ball I was I could never get the quick reply to come up. Had much better luck moving back to using Chrome on my desktop although the latency is still brutal. I was probably one of the first people to load the thread today (was watching Spy) and it took about 6-7 seconds after I hit send before it finally went through.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I had a good feeling this time too. Thought I might actually stand a chance when the thread locked so quickly, but noooooooo.

*meditates to stop blood pressure shooting through roof*

You and me bro. Feb 28th, last day of the sale. We will be the only two left so our chances will be good.

HA! You can't live in Australia, win Clacks AND have a normal life! You need to survive on 2 hours of sleep and have a callouses on your finger from F5'ing!

The amount of sleep I've missed staying up hoping for a morning drop is insane, I think I've been on 3-6 hours sleep a day since this thing kicked off :S

^ that's how the clackman gets paid (somewhat similar to the sandman) he actually gets stronger as the F5 keys get mashed and the money you paybif you win is used as donations or tobfeed the gnomes.

I was so focused on swapping domes that I missed it, the page was open and everything. But my HHKB feels so much better now so I'm gonna say it was worth it.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

CC strikes again - sale starts, soon afterwards there are 3 new pages of therapy posts :))

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
