This, but with any gun. Snipe with AKs and DEagles from across the map... what am I supposed to be doing? Is aiming for the head pretty much a one shot kill?

mstarr has a server that we can use. It's an aim server but I'm sure it can be configured for inhouse 10mans. I'll ask about it.

watch these 2 videos. they will help with recoil control. all guns basically follow the same methodology.
the spray patterns are just a little different.

Yeah I tried that first as I couldn't work out how to play the traditional modes... I think I like DM more actually hahaha with my crazy high level of suckage it's super boring not being able to re-spawn.. especially when I'm just getting back into CS

Btw, do arms race matches end when someone kills another person with a knife?

Gold knife, it's the last weapon in the series.  So they have to get a kill with every other weapon first, not just the first to knife.  If you aren't at the golden knife level and you knife someone then they go back a gun.

The only time before this week I've played that mode was on CSS and it was a custom map....

ffa deathmatch is free for all. they have some servers that are headshot only. they really help when learning how to aim or warmup.

netcodeguides has some decent servers for FFA and headshot DMs.  Verypoorpeople has a good one for beginners, same with thefragshack.
