Well there are two other keysets currently in the ordering section on the ctrl alt website! Hack'd by geeks and Miami Twice.

Yep, GMK caps work fine with Costar (had a set on my Filco). IIRC it's BSP keys that give people problems.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

How do the mod keys compare alpha keys of the Dolch set?  Darker? Lighter?  Thanks in advance.

The base color of hyperfuse mods will be the same gray as dolch alphas.

edit because my words were backwards.

I believe he's been having people do it through PayPal but don't quote me on that.

Like Elrick said, thanks for the support.  The entire team really appreciates it. :)

the trouble is the MOQ is higher on windowed keys

you need to order 400 of each, but im right there with you in wanting them sir, it was just a practical reasons, and  i didnt wanna do them as blanks, which was the only workaround i could think of to get them to hit MOQ

Ah, yeah totally understandable. Makes sense now why you see blank windowed GMK keys everywhere.

I agree with you, blanks would be no fun here lol.

a workaround really to add it to a set is include say 2 per order, but if you have them with legends, its just adding too much cost for the set for a useless key, so people run blanks, because then at least they are somewhat usable

i love the windowed caps, its something i really wanted to include, but it just became fiddly to add without overly inflating the cost, and i didnt wanna also do a smaller pack with this buy

im kinda against include different packs with gmk, i find a lot of people would say order pack 1 and 2 on the assumption that one or the other gets made, and then when one cant hit MOQ, it renders the other part of their order useless etc, i dunno, it was a tough call, but this is where we ended up

To offer a set with everything included is the best shot with GMK. The pricing is OK and the possibility to have a few very useful extras is great. Bunny willingness to explain it to us everytime, and multiple times is also admirable.

Feng ran a GB for windowed Escs, which I missed, but I think there may be enough interest for a new GB for "windowed capslock, scrolllock, numlock keys."

I know I'd be down for it.

Yep. I've been saying it for ages but you just can't fragment GMK buys, doing that just makes it harder to hit MOQ.

Better off doing unusual keys in small flavor packs, when you can get the price under $20 it means way more people buy in and often people will buy multiple sets. I know every time Feng has run Esc Packs or Ivan has done space bars I've spent like $50 on each.

as of right now its just whats in the mockup

we do plan to add some keys in with any donations that come in at the end of the gb, so depending on that it may be included, but dont purchase the set based on an assumption it will be

Thanks for the info Bunny, hopefully we can get some of the extra keys people want. I know I will be donating some once I get paid again, and I love the set and am getting it regardless of whether 1u "+" is there!

This is an incredibly generous offer, Sir Bunny!

I'll have time to play around with painting cases come summer time so if your offer still stands then, I might have to take you up on it  :thumb: :thumb:

Currently looking into Urushi lacquering (or maybe faux Urushi) and gold flake/leaf application to hopefully make a sick Japanese/Yakuza themed keyboard. Not sure if I want to do this to my Digilog case or my QFR  :p

These are doubleshot thick ABS with original Cherry legends and profile. If you haven't read this already, doubleshot is arguably advantageous to dyesub in that the text is visibly more crisp.

YES double-shot GMK's are the authentic standard for all Cherry MX switches used everywhere on this planet.  They fit in every keyboard made by lot's of companies hence no issues of fitment troubles shall occur once you purchases these babies.

Have Imsto's BSP key-set range and they are different in feel because you have this ever so slight texture on the key-cap surface plus the dye-sub is embedded deep into the surface of the PBT plastic material so it will last for years.  Eventually you shall wear away the printed letter/numbers over time because all plastic will display signs of degradation when it comes to using your filthy digits when typing  8) .

I was planning on getting in on this with my next pay, but I just had an emergency operation scheduled for next week, and I think I'll be off work too much to justify it.  If anyone is buying extra sets to sell later on, please consider PM'ing me!

i would normally say health comes first, but this is a GMK set, bro. postpone your operation and grab the set first, you won't regret it.

This is indeed the group buy of the century. I feel bad for any poor soul that misses it.  :'(

YES it is  :thumb: .

When they miss out on this GMK set who knows when the next one will begin OR if it ever can reach the famous MOQ requirement.  PLUS this set will be the ONLY one ever made in these colours hence you miss out on this then you'll have to start begging in the Classifieds for any 'SPARE' set.

Word of warning if anyone who has bought this set is considering selling theirs here on GH, please make sure you sell it at double the paying cost to you so that you make a good profit from these lazy morons who missed out on this Group Buy.   Never let those slothful scumbags get something at the same price you paid for, it helps to justify their overall negligence in avoiding this Group Buy and reward their general, anti-Geekhack behaviour  8) .

Isn't there a practice to re-sell at cost at the classifieds? Maybe this "order" is an update for such accepted common practice.

Maybe that is why we all here have such a problem reaching MOQ on any current GMK sets?

NEVER reward the LAZY arseholes who think they can prosper later on when it comes to Group Buys, it helps to promote that kind of selfish behaviour and justify such low buy ins when it comes to these type of key-sets.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with people charging a bit of a premium for group buy keysets after the fact. It's been tradition for people to sell them at cost, but maybe we need to stop doing that. It would certainly encourage more people to get in on a MOQ while the buy is open.

Looks like I had better take money out of my investment and buy 10 more sets so I can sell at double the price to lazy people! Whoop whoop 100% ROI!
