i really wish i bought one of those 1800's, but with the kid on the way i cant swing it with the wife, not easy to explain how i could possibly need another keyboard lol, but i know margo is in on that buy so i can say with about 98% certianty we will have 1800 support added

A keyboard can be got at any time in the future (if that's what you really want) BUT your FIRST child comes around only ONCE.

Trust me the child is worth far more than any pissy keyboard,  how could I blaspheme here on Geekhack, simply stating fact here.  Keyboards will never hug you (unless you smoke something illegal), a child is totally dependent upon you for everything in the first 5 years of it's life, they're the only ones that sleep upon your heart late at night and never complain.  You become their center of the known universe, everything they know streams from you, the unofficial teacher and guru.

Every joke you tell them they laugh like it's the BEST thing they have ever heard  PLUS the world stops being depressing and horrible when you see it through their eyes, it becomes simply wondrous and fantastic  .

As they get older they seem to have a limitless possibility to do anything, which simply rubs off on you no matter how old you get, even if you pot around in your wheelchair.

Having a child is very different because for the FIRST time ever in your life you have something that is so special and unique there won't be another one like them (unless your Mrs breeds twins)  .

I think we need to start a baby pool that costs $1 to enter and the winner gets a bro or a clack (and to make it so you have more possible entries, you have to guess date and sex, so you can have two per day, three if you want to add intersexed as an option) and bunny gets something kickass for his kid with the remaining money.  I think baby's first tattoo is in order

Well, that's it. The buy is still open and I've already bought parts to build a new keyboard for this set. 

I bought a QFR for this and then jumped in the TX1800 GB because I felt the QFR wouldn't do these caps justice lmao

Man, the TX1800 looks amazing. I've gone in on the Infinite pcb and 60% plate to put in my poker Tex case, bought springs and LEDS... also in on the interest check for the LightSaver V2. Not sure which will take the Hyperfuse and which will get the Hack'd by Geeks

Lol I've already started buying parts for a new keyboard for this set too. I'm planning to do a Sprit 60 build with some Gaterons... just waiting on the right deal for a Tex case and I should have everything I need!

Hey you guys having issues with the website try using something other than Chrome such as Firefox. I had very similar issues with the sing-up page and payment page until I switched to firefox. Hope that helps!!

Would someone be able to clarify the exact sizes of some of the alternate keycaps included in this group buy? Specifically is the spare Control key in the bottom row of the render image from post #1, a 1.75u sized key? I need it to be able to replace the useless CapsLock key in that specific location (pretty sure the CapsLock is 1.75u). Also is the spare right Shift key also 1.75u in size? The one next to the Fn key in the render diagram. Need both keys in that size for my Massdrop Infinity keyboard. The right shift on that keyboard is 1.75u. Lastly is the size of the alternate Backspace key 1.5u or 1.75u? Thanks in advance. I'd like to get in on this group buy, but I need to know if these specific keys will fit on my new Infinity keyboard!

There is no 1.75u Control, unfortunately. So you will be stuck using the Caps Lock in that spot.

The extra shift is 1.75u.

Alternate backspace is 1.5u.

B. buy another kb (poker II because I can get aluminum case?) for this set to have both topre and mkbs

I also have a Noppoo Choc Mini that I can try the caps out with before getting the Novatouch. Unfortunately the spacebar is wonky on that one.
Suggestions? $100-300 to throw away after the caps Oh, and I can sell the Choc Mini perhaps to go bonkers if I really want to. I have no soldering skills.

I bought a CMStorm QFR and got in on the TX1800 buy for this set.

But I like your choice A.

If you like the HHKB, hyperfuse HHKB is probably a good way to go -- I think someone had a mockup of what it would look like floating around somewhere....
