I've tried to stay out of the drama. Now that's hopefully over, I'd like to suggest:
1.25x Fn key - tons of 60% owners out there, and now that GH60 is coming to fruition, probably a lot more
1.25x contrasting Windows keys (maybe purple on cyan?) - again, tons of people would use these
Matching contrasting Esc - everyone has an Esc key except for JD
Nibs/nubs/nips/bars - I prefer them over scoops
A puppy - Tibetan mastiff please
I'm back.

Poor thing

Also, I'd like to add that a purple on cyan Esc key would be the perfect representation of this set on a switch tester, keychain, etc for the few who might not have a use for it on their Board. Just sayin.
I'm back.

the original flair keys were purple on cyan

however in the mockup i love the look of the purple on cyan windows keys

for the possible escape and matching enter pack, could i get a show of hands for whether people would want purple on cyan or cyan on purple please

Matching contrasting Esc - everyone has an Esc key except for JD

Took me like... 10 minutes to realize you were referring to the JD40/45 here :)).

Agree pretty heavily on the 1.25u FN. It'd see some good use on my Poker and then whatever 60% replaces it. Even if I swap to 75% only, I'd might use it in place of the win key.

Hmmmm... Damn... asking the hard questions.

Uhhmmmmmmm... Errrrr.... I can't figure out what I would like more. A complete change in those keys (legend and base color differ) or just a base color change... The former is done with purple on cyan, latter is cyan on purple.

I think I want cyan on purple. I guess I'm gonna vote for cyan on purple then. If someone can show some mocks of what cyan on purple and purple on cyan enter and escape keys would look like, you'd be a savior! Having a tough time deciding this :(. -- Vesper literally did this in the post below.... YOU ARE MY SAVIOR VESPER!

I would like to see the counter mockup of purple on cyan. But cyan on purple looks like pure sex. 100% voting for that for now. Thanks Vesp <3!

Didn't the original Hyperfuse include purple on cyan?

On a side note, what about R2 (hhkb/infinity style) backspace, could this still be an option by any chance?
It would be a single key adding quite a bit of uability to more layouts...

Super happy we're getting extras no matter what it will be btw!

I know it's shown in the mockup but I remember there being a discussion it wasn't for certain yet, thats where my confusion came from...

Does the Hyperfuse set for example include a backspace labeled button to replace \ btw?
(it kinda looks like it might eventually...)

The 1.5 backspace may be added to the set, eventually. There is no confirmation yet.

OK, this is all going great. Thanks so much Bun, you're killing it. Not even sure why I felt my voice would be needed, when I know we're on the same page regarding the major issues (as proven by that summary up there). Much appreciated :thumb:!

However, as much as I like the colored esc and enter keys. I think this point might need bringing up:

We already know that GMK color packs can be successful on their own. I'm sure a purple/cyan run for all modifiers would go though  fine in the future and appeal to more than just the hyperfuse gmk people.

Yea, so Bill is currently looking at running a GB with like 6 colored GMK escapes for 6 EUR a pack (roughly and IIRC). If we can get 500 people to buy this set, we can probably get the 250 needed to tip that esc MOQ (especially since some vendors will likely pop in since retail is so awesome on these beauts), giving us our colored escapes. Maybe we should use our extra keys for something else and try to get colored escape/enter in a bonus add-on color pack that will be run in a month or so? I'm not sure if this is too much to ask of Bun and co., maybe there are other plans and another GB is out of the question. I could also be mistaken and it might be harder than I'm imagining to hit that 250 MOQ. But, I just wanted to throw out the idea of not getting colored esc/enter's and, instead, saving those keys and grabbing them in a separate color pack.

Unrelated, Raindrop shipped today, <3 Bun and cody. Also, I hope the doctor's appointment went well this morning Bun! Don't you dare stress too much over this! You know you have our patience, love, and support :).

thats got your hyperfuse tshirt in that order as well good sir, hope you enjoy it

as for talk with additional packs, its something i considered, however if i was gonna make a small extension pack, id rather do it almost immediately rather than in a month or so, so people could combine it with their original order

its tough, because id rather make it an all in one kinda deal, and as much as im sure a small color extension pack could hit moq easily, i still think its best to find a balance between offering something aesthetic (so people who use regular layouts can get some benefit from the extra keys), and something layout related (so people can get more uses from the set) rather than ignoring one of those groups because its easier to get them to pay for the same thing later

Oh, I guess if I'm going to lobby for bumping the colored esc/enters until a later buy, I should offer an alternative...

Which is full 75% support!!! So, for that, we'd need:

1. R2 Pg. Up
2. R3 pg. Dwn.
3. R4 End

This makes the RS84's, Keycool 84's, and Octagon's of the world super happy!!! I don't think it helps any other layouts though :(, so there's likely a few better key choices we could make, ones that would complete a couple layouts with one blow.

I would also lose my cookies over a windowed, stepped caps lock. *droolllllssssss*

Also, I would be totally cool with only a windowed caps lock, and no windowed numlock/scroll lock if we can only have one windowed keys.

Those are my current thoughts. Great discussions going around here guys! Keep it up! These set is getting more perfect as time goes on (something I didn't ever expect to happen!).

the benefit to me of cyan on purple is it keeps the mod legends all cyan

i do think both options looks great, and again im torn between doing purple on cyan to replicate the original set, or cyan on purple to give this set its own little spin
I'M IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING RIGHT NOW, WILL BE BACK AROUND SOON

Dang it Vesper. Your mockups are too convincing!

I made a quick mockup for the other option just for fairness... =)
I hope I was aloud to make this form the original Hyperfuse mockup?! O=

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE.

I was literally writing about how I like Cyan on Purple because it keeps the modifier legends in tack :)

The enter having Purple font isn't really a biggy but seeing that Purple font for ESC and then remaining purple for remaining F1-F4, and then Cyan font starting up from F5-F8 really bothers me... maybe it's my semi-OCD... BALANCE IS KING. Lol!!!

Let's give this new group buy its own new spin :) But I can be happy with either~ Just happier with one over the other, but both happy :P

i still think its best to find a balance between offering something aesthetic (so people who use regular layouts can get some benefit from the extra keys), and something layout related (so people can get more uses from the set) rather than ignoring one of those groups because its easier to get them to pay for the same thing later

God, you're so on the ball Bun... I can absolutely see the wisdom in that. I can easily sympathize with being someone who uses a normal 104 key layout, getting super excited over these extra keys you're hearing about, and they all arrive and you can't use a single one of them :(. So, I can definitely agree that having at least one aesthetic key is the most fair option out of them all. +1

P.S., can't wait to see the shirt :). Will take a pic of it's sexiness all over my body when I get it.

Both look great but I think the vibrancy of the purple on cyan works better

Ohhhhh that purp on cy is soooo amazing and sexy!!

As a colorblind person, is it? I can hardly tell the difference between the gray alphas base and the cyan base of those. :)

Definitely cyan on purple. Definitely. (Mockup does look good though and I'm sure you're not only allowed to use the original mockup to explore new ideas, but you're encouraged to do just that)

What would be the possibility of some kind of supplemental set as a standalone GB later? Like, a set with nibs, purple on cyan, etc. just by themselves, maybe 10 keys total? GMK obviously has an MOQ, but is there a minimum number of keys to a set?
