Not sure how to introduce what we are doing but I've got an image of my setup...it's not done yet, but I've got a razor for the left hand and a controller that I built out for the right hand side that has an analog joystick, 35 cherry keys, and a laser with a palm rest. It's kinda cool so far. We have a lot more to do, but getting there. =) The photo has missing keys, thats because I took the photo before I mounted them ...whoops
I just revised the design and built out a left to replace the razor nostromo. I'll take some snap shots soon.
Let me know what you think! Cheers

Looks very interesting. I would not mind if you took more picture of it.. ;)

Please take more photos!!!! :thumb:

Necro Bump! I'd love to see more photos. A top view would be good.

Solid Art Labs? Was this a post about a prototype of the King's Assembly?
-
It definitely looks that way, doesn't it.
-
Shame we didn't get those extra photos - I'm sure we could've given some constructive feedback on the design...
Saying that, they've managed to convincingly meet their target - current level is 232%.

Ah man I need to keep up with my post, sry guys/gals.... I've got some new designs in the works. Working on cading a new frame out...which I'm pretty happy about. Working out a more comfortable hand position atm. Super stoked about that!

So, just trying to make it less bulky looking. Here is a quick visual of another version I did. Realized that bringing in the keys above the joystick was pretty key because of how the thumb moves. Still need to swap out the MLs to the MXs which I should be finishing up today. =)

So, built out this speed frame a few weeks ago to improve some of the positioning of the joystick and such, so that was cool, but now need to redo it to fit the MX switches. Super stoked about that! =D I'll try and be better about updating. -B

These where some old ideas that I thought were kinda fun to build out. Totally meant to post these a while ago.

I think it's great that you're moving to mx switches - red? Are they plate mounted?
-
Yeah, the reds are nice (my fav). We took some apart yesterday, which was a ton of fun and are thinking about "choose your own flavor" This way everyone gets what they want! =) Plate mounting will be something to talk about today. The thing is we want these to be modular, so the user can replace or mix and match each row of keys. For example, I might want my top row to be Blues and my bottom row to be Reds and so on. Because these keys are kinda bulky, stability on the curve will be something to think about. Also gotta work that out today. I'll keep you posted. Cheers -B

Maltron mount theirs to the case, and their cases are very much curved.
Take a look at the phantom plates, they have little cutaways that allow the end user to open the switch case and swap springs and stems.
Of course, you might know all of this already... :)

Looks great! I'll most likely end up buying one of these for sure.
