My Foray into Making USB Cables
« on: Sun, 14 October 2012, 11:38:47 »
Well, got a couple of Cheats that the USB cable color was awful on. I also wanted to make a few cables for a couple of A87 keyboards I have on the way and while at it, match a few cables to some keycap sets.

So this is the outcome, two modified cheats ...

6052-0

6054-1

and a few others, pink for the Valentines set, denim and also blue for a SoWaRe set, red and white and also checkered flag for two of the A87s that arre on the way, carbon for my Titanium KMAC LE, grey and white for the KMAC, which is aluminum and black because, well, it's black.

6056-2

Enjoy,
John

Looks nice. What kind of sleeves are those? You should try MDPC sleeving, those known to be the highest quality of sleeves. Expensive, anyone that has some says they're worth it.

Nice work! And yes, MDPC sleeve is AMAZING! I've used it on power supplies and it's great stuff!

My entire PC is done with MDPC sleeving, shrink and connector. When I build the rig i was doing white cables and did not want any bleed through from the black cables, so I built every single cable from scratch, crimping all the ends and sleeving everything. i used all white wire and sleeved in white. You can see some of it here:

The last time I recommended MDPC I got accused for threadcrapping. Over at DT. By lister. Strange world.
Good sleeves he has, though, this Nils.

Hey, STOP advertising and crapping in my thread, man. Just kidding. Yeah, his stuff is awesome. Reminds me of CC a little, actually, with his artistic flair about things.
