I am converting this Rubber Dome Silitek SK-8000 to Mechanical. I am waiting for the PCB to arrive.

Unfortunately my plan of drilling holes in the bottom backplate will not work, it is too tedious and the plate deforms. Instead I will get sheets of ABS plastic and foam to fill the space between the PCB and bottom case.
Future builds will have a mounting plate hanging from the top of the case for better stability.

I plan to build more in the future.

Rev 2 of the PCB will fix the top row alignment and add support for ALPS and I-Rocks switches. I will also figure out a full-size plate design for these switches as well.

Out of curiosity, why support I-Rocks? You don't see them supported in pretty much any PCB design. Do you have a few switches lying around that you'd like to use?

I'm buying switches from them.

"Cause I wanted to" seems like a very reasonable response; carry on :D
