In retrospect, it was a mistake to run this right after the zz96, for me the differences were apparent enough, but I understand that there's just not demand for another 96 layout board. Hello, welcome to the groupbuy for a top-quality 96-key chinese custom keyboard!
This groupbuy is for a keyboard kit that include the following:
- Full andonized aluminum case
- Andonized aluminum plate
- Fully programmable, pre-soldered PCB
- acrylic diffuser insert
Aluminum Case
The aluminum case has a bottom and a top segment that are screwed together to form the full case. The case can be used either fully together, in which case the rgb diffuser acts as a strip of light between the two halves, or you can use only the top of the aluminum case, in which case the diffuser becomes an acrylic bottom, making the entire bottom of the keyboard glow with light.
It weighs about 5kg, or 11 pounds. The dimensions are 373.9 x 125.7 x 43.4 in mm.

Aluminum plate
The aluminum plate comes with all the same color options as the case does (samples available above). You may choose a different color for the plate than you have for the case, simply note this in the "comments" section at checkout. If you do not make a note, it will be assumed that you want the same color plate as your case.

PCB
The PCB comes completely pre-soldered with diodes, resistors, and controllers. The programming software uses AMJ's fork of TMK, available on their GitHub (https://github.com/AMJKeyboard). The PCB includes compatibility for top-mounted LEDs, as well as 16 RGB LEDs on the underside. The PCB also supports all the same layouts as the plate (layout chart available above).

The PCB from AMJ includes a very interesting new feature: the ability to use either a mini usb or micro usb. The PCB includes both ports for easy switching, and the case includes holes for both. You may choose to detach one if you do not like having them both on.

Pricing/Logistics
First off, unfortunately at this time shipping is ONLY available to the United States. Without sufficient interest from the European market, it's not worth it to do an entirely seperate shipment to a European proxy, and even then shipping within europe would be extremely expensive. That said, if you are outside of the US and you are REALLY REALLY interested in this keyboard, please please please shoot me a PM and we can figure something out, I'm sure!

Payments are going to be done on Stripe through my BigCartel website, to avoid any paypal lockdown disasters.
The MOQ for this buy is 30 kits, and at 50 kits the price will be reduced. Because stripe payments are instant when you make the purchase, if we hit the price reduction number of orders, I will simply send money back to those who have already ordered through paypal and eat the paypal costs myself. In addition, the taxing of the chinese government is very unpredictable, and this cost is based on an intentional over-estimate of how much it will cost to ship the keyboards to the US. If I end up with a surplus of money, that money will be equally refunded to all participants, not kept as profits or compensation by me.
This groupbuy will stay open for either three weeks, or until we hit moq, whichever comes last.
The estimated time after the buy closes is two months. One month for production, and another for shipping china to US and then from me to you.

The pink is not as prominent as Miami. I'd go with purple.
I would be very interested in seeing pictures of the case without the bottom part (as I like my keyboards flat) ;)
You can't purchase the board w/o a base, and there's no way to fasten the center of the acrylic to the PCB w/o the screw mounts on the base.
Oh. I guess the following part from the IC isn't true any more then... too bad, then my interest is gone.

Now for some information:
The keyboard kit includes pre-soldered PCB and metal housing. As you can see above, the housing comes in two ways, an aluminum top with an acrylic bottom, or a sandwich case with aluminum top and bottom and acrylic in the middle. The aluminum bottom is simply a seperate piece that you can attach to turn an acrylic-bottomed case into a sandwich case. .
