Kinda sad I didn't get in on this. If anyone is looking to sell one, I'm buyin :thumb:
Flyersfan was but looks like someone already got his. :(

Sorry I snagged that I up the second I saw Flyersfan1 post. I've been following the production of TGR-Jane since the start of the IC thread and I was kicking myself for skipping out on it, it's a shame nobody went with the red aluminum case.

Like for the individual caps? I don't think that's possible with this PCB. I think the PCB just has RGB LEDs underneath, but you can't see them as well with the aluminum bottom.

There were some things yuktsi teased that never became a part of this GB: the acrylic sandwiched layer, the special cable, and the extra PCBs and plates. I hope those are included in Round 2 (if that ever happens), as well as an acrylic bottom to show off the RGB. With the acrylic bottom, we won't have to bother with the TX87 keyboard since this uses the TX87 PCB already.

Why is it not possible for in-switch LEDs? I didn't really look into it much but assumed it was possible with the right diodes/resistors.

Sorry, I meant for in-switch RGB LEDs. Are there any PCBs that support that yet?

I don't believe so, I've seen a few some people put in rgb 2x3x4mm LEDs for their windows keys but I've never seen a full board. The RGB LEDs that do work aren't controllable but rotate through the colors automatically(at least for the sample bag I have).

The switch cutout for led is larger on the Zealio switch, I believe they are working on pcb that supports in-switch RGB

Sweet! Then I can just get the new PCB for this board.  :thumb:

I usually buy my leds, diodes, resistors, and sip sockets off ebay. If you find the right seller within the states it can come pretty fast.
Thanks for the help yuktsi, perhaps someday the Jane owners could get together to have the acrylic diffuser made for a mini group buy.

As a Canadian This is gonna cost me $600 for round 2 (if and when it happens) but I think I have too do it. I have wanted a custom for a while now and put $$$ into my Poker ## and couldn't be happier. If everything works out I'll pay Sifo to build me the board, since I do not have the skills required.  :thumb:

I've checked with the DXF file and I'm able to get the diffusers for €24.5 a piece, 3mm matte white acrylic (not sure how thick it should be, the price differences are negligible, add/subtract €1 per mm). At 5x, I'm looking at ~8% discount. This is obviously excluding international shipping. The plates would be cut by the same comp I've used for the Alps plate sth has (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=74337.msg1894340#msg1894340).

Great! But I just realized: How would this work with adding height? I guess it won't work too well as it'll add too much height to the PCB, plate, top case, and switches/caps.

Interested anyway. At least you know you won't have to make more than 20, unless people want extras for some reason.

Lmk if yall decide to do the rgb acrylic layer.  I still have to wait for the LEDs for my Jane and I may as well do a full led update in one go if the opportunity allows.

I forgot that this was a leeku board. If you notice your caps and lctrl are swapped they can be swapped if  you hold the two keys down for 5 seconds.

Looks like a bigger cut-out for the brass plate as well. I'm curious as to what the final chosen material will end up being. 7075 is stronger and more expensive but it's prone to corrosion more than 6061 which still may not be a problem. Isn't mic 6 preferred for cast aluminum since it doesn't cut that smooth?

Are those the final design for r2? Looks like they come with feets instead of angled bottom.
But that huge brass weight would be awesome  :-*

Hmm, I don't think those are 'feet' but a side cutout probably and still angled bottom. Those scree holes are most probably for mounting the brass plates

Can u educate me a bit on the side cutout? Whats the reason for it beside easier grabbing?

I don't think I can 'educate' someone on keyboards as I'm still fairly new to this game as well. If you can imagine those side cutout of something like 456gt and etc, this will be similar or with a twist depends on how they design it.

Yeah, it's easier to grab with the cutout on the sides, or else will have to 'pry' it up from the bottom to grab it.

I was super hoping the final sample would have those cutouts, as they make it easier to move when necessary, but alas it's just a plain Jane.

I've been following this thread with much interest, awe, and regret for not joining R1, but am super happy to hear that R2 is in the horizon. This thread is all about what makes GH so great. Yuktsi had a great idea and wanted to make something and share with the community. With help and team work, the whole community now gets to enjoy yet another quality product that would've never happened had it not been for the determination and hard work of those involved. Keep it up. So inspiring.  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Then it wouldn't be as close to a KMAC 2 as the Jane is, which is what Yuktsi was going for, but I will agree the cutouts on my LZ do make it much easier to move around.

Will the brass plate be visible on the bottom like the OTD boards or will it be on the inside like r1 Jane? Either way the new features look really good, may just have to get r2 as well. :p

Man. If the darker gray color is offered this time, I may have to let go of my R1 Jane!  :p

Also, what's with all the gun mats?

Would anyone happen to have a picture of one of these with SA profile caps? Looking into getting a custom TKL potentially and I'm not sure if I want one like the Jane or like a Gon/Winkeyless.

I would prefer keeping the light Titanium grey though. I think that is one unique color TGR-Jane possesses.
