reset kinesis advantage usb

So, I was just handed a kinesis advantage USB model this afternoon, and I noticed immediately that it's...wonky. Certain keys trigger many hardware keypresses, certain scan codes apparently just can't be sent, etc.

Specifically, I can't the shift keys working, which are needed to reset the damn thing.

Anyone have any advice on how to go about getting it reset?
