Okay, I'm just about to order, but I've got a couple of questions:

1) Might have already been answered, but is the off-centre stemmed caps lock also stepped?
2) To clarify, if we don't order the add-on pack, each base set will come with the horrid-looking windows key, not a blank key? (Basically, if I'm going to have to order add-on packs to avoid using that horrid windows key, I'll have to order less base sets to even out the price)
3) Do the sets from Stage 2 also have both centre stemmed and off-centre stemmed caps locks?
3a) If they do come with both, any chance you can get me just one apple green set at retail (Tao Bao) price? As it doesn't look like we will be doing gb for apple green at all 
4) Is there any way to get a large number of blank 1x caps from Tai Hao? I have a few of these G80-8200LPAUS boards (pic below) and they have a lot more than 104 keys  )

They're doubleshot. Meaning the legends last forever, if that's what you're asking lol. They never fade

ABS caps are said to become shiny fairly quickly, espe+cially if the user has acid fingers and the board is heavily used, but the legends can't fade on doubleshot caps.

Hm... perhaps the orders on the OP are only those from GH and don't include that of DT and other keyboard forums? In which case there is a pretty good chance of hitting MOQ of all of them. I hope so at least - ordered one of each.

Dolch is most likely to hit MOQ. I don't think Harry has updated the post with the most recent numbers, but Dolch has had the highest numbers throughout the buy.

last time I looked at the google doc, dolch was close to 300 and the dolch addon was close to 150. And if, for some reason, the granite or olivetti falls through, I am sure at least some people will change their order to include more dolch. I know I will.

If we do find a way to hit the MOQ for round 1, I'm wondering if we could change the sets for round 2.  Right now round 2 is supposed to be azure and red alert, but red alert is already currently available from mass drop, making it a little redundant.  We should probably replace red alert with the purple caps that are set for round 3.

and total cost for just an ANSI set would be around $20 (with shipping and paypal fees included but without tracking). if you want tracking, you have to add $3

So it looks like even if the PRICE is absolutely rock-bottom no ones interested in buying them.  I get the feeling that maybe key-cap manufacturing should stop all together and let those losers enjoy their key-caps from the keyboard manufacturers only.

Dolch & Granite look the same to my eyes -- maybe those two should be combined, and then you would probably have the 300 MOQ. Of course, some folks are probably buying a few of one, a few of the other, and don't really want true duplicates.

Honestly, it was so different a few years ago.

I recall the *original* GH group buy; there was questions if we'd make it to 50 orders.

It's interesting how much has changed.  Notably, we could manage to get a full set out of SP for less than fifty dollars, and internationalization/special selections were kept from running roughshod over the process.

That went up to $9 IIRC.

This one is starting at $15, which is more than double what the original GB started at.

However in the scale of things, this is an excellent price for a very reasonable keycap set in a much sough-after colour scheme.

and deduce that this GB is attracting new comers which find GMK and SP too expensive for them

so....if we keep this gb up for 2-3 months, i think we can have enough orders for the ANSI sets (no the add-on packs though)
my main concern is that if Taihao can wait for us for that long time, as their sales kept on giving me pressure to place my order

I've got and ordered more GMK sets (if the GB actually runs this time) and I need more Key-sets to cover more keyboards, hence I am always here and in other Group Buys on a compulsory buy up for more key-sets.

I'm a serious key-cap addict always wanting more and more.......

If you extend the group buy 2-3 months though, people that signed up early may lose interest, and I guarantee you will have orders cancelled when it comes time to pay. By the time the orders ship, people will have changed addresses, it will be a mess. Just look at gh60 gb.

If we're stating opinions, my vote is to stick to the initial deadline. If we make MOQ, great. If not, try it again later when a bunch of other GBs are not running. If granite and olivetti don't make it this round, do them later. Maybe even do only one color per GB to make it simpler.

There are also people who wait until the end to order. If you don't keep the deadline firm, they may not commit.

Are you trying to get all colours (at least tier 1) to pass MOQ, or can this proceed if only one or two pass?
