Fusion60 inspired by 2 of the most well known keyboard case, Fjell and Kira. Design by Vulcan and manufactured by Kbdfans It features a heavy 2.5kg modern 8 degree case, with thick bevels builds from solid aluminum and brass block that are CNC Machined to maintain precision in quality.

Note :
If you are using the Fusion60 PCB and want to have side glow effect you will need to do this :
- Carefully separate both sides LED PCB from the main PCB
- Solder 4 cable each side of the LED PCB to the main PCB
- Screw both LED PCB to the top case
The reason we do this is because we need to place the LED just a bit higher than the PCB and get it as close as possible to the side to get a bright bleeding effect.
We have already tried many methods but this one works best.
This LED assembly is a bit hard and takes trial and error.. I know it's not the best design, but it's the best i can do to keep the PCB key layout and the price low.

May I suggest for the orders over 59 order cut-off, you can do a raffle for 10%-15% extra = 6 - 9 extra orders so total will be 66 - 69 boards will be made.

No, because it's my fault, i think it's not fair to cancel order that are already placed.

If i have the order list i will definitely do that, but for now i dont have it, For checking order i suggest you to message Kbdfans to make sure they have your order correct. just top cross check

That blue looks nothing like the render color as its supposed to be a dark blue. Case design is awesome though, I just wish we could get more accurate anode colors from KBDfans. I ordered a dark blue case from them and it turned out light teal. :-X
Kbdfans factory doesn't have real anodizing color palette for us to pick from. The only way is to make render and show reference to the factory on what color we want. That is why it's hard to be 100% accurate. I just hope that it's close to the render and image reference i gave to them.

About the weight, the factory said if sandblasted it will not resolve the problem, it will make it worse. but i said to just give it a try.

I've asked Sherry and she took those photos. It does look darker than what I expected but don't know if it's just the lighting. I have mixed feelings about it.

Show off that lovely side glow please!
I didnt use the included pcb, i used a HS60 hot swap.
Also, my side glow parts of the pcb came pre fixed to the main board with thin silicone wire, looks like it was done by hand and not very well haha.
It came lose during shipping and 1 piece of wire has came out. If i ever get round to using it ill probably re do all the wiring myself.

So anywhere I can get a spare pcb/plate? I ****ed up my pcb and removing the swithces has been impossible.you can use dz60, and for plate there is a file to cut it by yourself

Yeah I have a spare dz60 but the sideglow doesn't show, and I uploaded the dxf file to laserboost and got a quote for like 110 euro which is pretty pricey110 euro for a lazer cut??? Darn that crazy.. well you could always desolder the switch.. can you take photo of the problem? Maybe we can help

Best I could get with the poor bedroom lighting. It looks really good though, the weight is frosted and I opted for that when Sherry had asked me a few days ago so I assume it’s why I got the white first.

What's worse is that it got a couple of severe dents on the top. Something very hard and sharp must have hit it with considerable force. The packaging was completely fine, so it wouldn't have happened during transport, meaning it's a pretty severe QA oversight. I got a partial refund for that from kbdfans, since according to Sherry there were no replacement tops available and the color wouldn't have matched anyway :(

I have a few questions and forgive me for being direct and maybe asking questions that you cannot answer. I know you have worked VERY hard on your end. However, do we know how they selected who got which case that was backlogged? I ordered my case at like 3am EST. When we all got surprised that they had come out. I happened to luckily have an insomniac night and see them. Hard for me to believe I wasn’t one of the first orders. At least the first 7. Also, can someone share Sherries’ screen name with me or how to reach out to her on the server. The last time I messaged someone named Sherrie on that server they said I was mistaken and had the wrong person. Lastly, waiting for an unknown amount of time for round 2 or switching colors is old only option?

I got updates from kbdfans, the case that have been sent back have already finish, but now from 30 case only 7 pass QC..

Hi, the problem is not just about the colour.. but also deformation and whether the case is useable or not.
If you follow the IC, you know that fusion60 is not an easy case to manufacture. From 5 factory that i approach only 2 can make it.
That is because of the shape of the side profile. Not all CNC machine can make that profile. It requares 4 or 5 axis machine and more advance engineering to program the toolpath.

As far as I know, Kbdfans is only asking. If you still want the white case then please wait. If yiu want to get the case fast then you can try diffrent colour or layout.
why it was impossible to make a sample? to understand it is easy or difficult to make this case :-XIf you follow the IC, we made 4 sample before running the GB and all turn out very good.

Anyone else getting "dfu-programmer: no device present" when trying to flash? I've been trying this for the past hour and have had no success...
Is there any kind of manual for this thing? I finally got around to assembling everything and can't see a way to for example change the side lighting colour, and can't find any info anywhere about programmability (I thought there was QMK-based source included?)

You need to install the correct drivers on Windows.
- Download Zadig (https://zadig.akeo.ie/) and launch it
- Tick Options → List All Devices in the top toolbar
- Put the board into bootloader mode (reset it)
- Select ATmega32u4DFU in Zadig's device dropdown
- Select libusb-win32 as the new driver
- Click Replace Driver
- Try flashing again

Rough estimate 3 weeks maybe more, as annoying as these delays have been I'm happy they care enough to go through all this trouble to make sure we get a quality end product.

I will definitely be checking by Thursday. I know delays happen, but this has gotten out of hand. Especially the lack of updates. Why do the customers have to try to track down answers?

I sent her a message on Wednesday and got a response last night that I did not see until now. She told me that the production had switched to a different factory. I specifically asked if they were going to meet the 2-3 week deadline that she gave me 2 weeks ago, to the day. I understand delays happen, they’re trying to put out a good product, and there are some issues with the government regulations. However, I’m tired of every week, it’s going to be another week. I’m also tired of having to dog on near beat an update out of someone. I’ve asked for a refund. Hate to be so blunt, but I feel like I’ve been plenty patient.

Honestly, the side glow is pretty disappointing. I leave mine off.

Anyone know when the remaining e-white cases will be done?I don’t think anyone really knows. I’m still waiting on a gray one. I keep asking sherry and she’s saying the manufacturer isn’t really communicating to her either. It feels like she gets like 1 of a color per week at this point.

Hi, sorry for not updating frequently, it's just because I havent got any valid good news from kbdfans.
So some of you might know. last month I requested Kbdfans to move Fusion60 to a better factory. I felt really bad because some of you guys has to wait this long.
The old factory kept on failing and failing on reproduction and was taking too long.
Today i have news from kbdfans, today they already sent out 2 gray case and some other color. the case came out really great, they sent me the blue photo color and it looks stunning. the new factory did a really great job.
as for the white it is expected to arrive in a couple of days. maybe will come same time as tofu white.
I will keep you guys update if i have news

Great news, been really enjoying using this keeb for the few months I've had it. To the people waiting it's def worth the wait.

Would I be able to find some RGB strips and solder that side if I need to? I have no experience with surface mount soldering and don't think I have the proper tools to fix it

That’s a gk64 layout if I’m jut mistaken and that - like I said - requires you to setup the firmware to dedicate those keys to an area or cluster.
The pcb is a slightly modified dz60, with a standard 60% layout pre flashed. Dz60 does support the gk64 layout so badically the answer is yes - it’s possible if you set it up.

Is there going to be an R2?Given the manufacturing difficulties and cancelled orders with R1, it's extremely unlikely.
