What is the significance of that design?

Nothing in particular, just messing around with different placement of the orange keys trying to find something I like.

Picked up a HHKB today. LOVE IT. The only thing Im uncomfortable with is the backspace. I guess thats something I will learn to use properly soon. Only been using it for a few minutes. I hated my Realforce 88UB, how come I love this one?

I havent owned a realforce in 6 months or so, but I sold it because I didnt like it. Felt like pressing a sponge. HHKB feels exact, tactile, and super nice. I dont know how it can be such a difference. It make me wonder wether i should give RF another try.

What model did you use? Was it a variable switch RF? I can't stand anything less than 55g on an RF. It feels like it was meant for the board. 45g and less just feel mushy on the plate mounted RF.

With that said, it feels like 45g is perfect for the plastic case of the HHKB.

Nothing special.... just stock apart from the double wrap (white and black) MDPC cable. I will be adding some grey or white modifiers soon, if anyone has some caps for me, let me know! May be interested in single black CC

The backspace location is one of my favorite things about my HHKB. But I have it dip switched so it's right above the Enter key. I like that configuration so much, I created an AutoHotKey script to swap those keys on my other keyboards.

Yup...that's the new 55g.  It's a combo of 2 different keycap sets (lettered lime green and lettered white).  The lime green replaced the number row and the white replaced the stock grey modifiers.
