This is the official order thread for the Weezer Group Buy this Cherry MX key will be a Row 2 key to replace the "W" key or any key in the row below the numbers. I have gotten initial approval from Melissa and price quotes below. I would like to skip the whole IC and just hope that we make it to 50, which I think we should have no trouble doing. If we do not make 50, I will cancel the GB.

All Prices are PRELIMINARY; Higher volumes lower prices, lower volumes raise prices. All keys are priced via volume individually but for now expect the following prices:

I sent it to Melissa already, I was upfront with her what it was and that I do not know if it is copyrighted. She sent me quotes. It is a possibility legal may step in, but for now we are on.

For my own curiosity why is it no-one bakes in the legend fee? The worst variance (for this one) is ~$.23 more than the true cost.

Yup, the color is different (seems like a different shade of blue was used) and also the logo is too thin compare to the original mockup.

The color looks darker than BE

I wrote Melissa an email pointing out that it was thinner than expected, the middle of the W does not match the SVG, I was not shown the prototype as I asked, and that the color looks wrong but I can confirm that when they arrive tomorrow (maybe bad camera).

She is usually quick to respond between 11-12 central time so I will keep you guys posted.

Update: SP is going to redo the legend and provide a picture of a prototype. I will post it as soon as I get it. I think we have worked out the issues and expect this one to be much closer to the mockup.

Well this one was a little my fault and somewhat more their fault. This was my first order with SP so I didn't realize how explicit I needed to be with how the legend needs to be made from the SVG. Now I know and should save some hassle in the future.

I got 180 keys today; 88 final keycaps and 92 1st try keycaps.
but that's fine, since I added some extra keys just in case.
