Help locate a DIY tactile nub guide
« on: Fri, 14 January 2022, 00:36:54 »
Greetings,

I have a set of keycaps that do not have tactile nubs for the home row on F and J. I very much so prefer to have these present for touch typing. There was a DIY guide on how to install a small metal BB into keycaps to create a DIY tactile nub. It isn't a very in depth guide but it basically just gave a rundown of the size BB in relation to the size drill bit and how far to drill into the keycap to get it to pop into and seat in the keycap.

For the life of me I can't recall what platform I saw this on... I assume Reddit, Youtube, or geekhack as these are my primary avenues of mechanical keyboard related traffic. Does anyone know the location of this guide?

Much appreciated, thank you.

Thank you! I didn't even think about imgur. I have not seen this specific guide before. Once you gave me that link I found the two other guides that I had previously seen:

Including these links for reference as well.
