Please just make this for right hand as well.  That would be awesome.  The design is beautiful.

We can’t offer a Configuration that different mainly for cost reasons.

The other “Mini-1800” keyboards that I’ve seen are all right hand NumPad so those would be more suited for that preference.

Yeah, but the other mini 1800 style keyboards don't look like yours look.  That thing is beautiful from proportion to the badge.

Well thank you my friend. Ive been very happy with the outcome of the design thus far.  :)

Excited to see more people enjoying the project too!

will there be any way to secure a spot prior to the GB? or will be a FCFS/raffle style thing? not planning my life around this board or anything, just planning my life around this board :))

It will be a FCFS of the 100 Units avalible.  Maybe Split between 2 vendors if we decide to add an EU Proxy.

Cannonkeys normally opens his GBs at 11:00 EST.  Not saying that will be the exact time for clarabelle cause life happens but I was told that's a good estimate.

We should have a better answer closer to the 15th though.

No enter key or decimal for the numpad, or am I simply missing something?

Numpad is great for Excel or calculator work, but having the enter and decimal point key integrated are key to this. Otherwise you need to use two hands.

Depends on how you make your keymap.

On the default keymap ive made, the numpad is like this:

"." when TAPPED

or

"Enter" when DOUBLE-TAPPED

And if you HOLD the "." then a momentary layer change happens and your arrow cluster changes to the Calculation functions with "/", "*", "-" and "+"
(the plus key being "+" on TAP, "=" on DOUBLE-TAP).

Yes its very different, very strange and not what you might be used to.  But that's part of what people like about "40%".  Makes you find new ways to use your keyboards in fun and maybe even more efficient ways for your work flow

Thats how I have it set up as well.  the shift is close enough that if your hands are average size you should be able to do the normal reach for the symbols too.

That's pretty smart. So when you move around say a spreadsheet you use the left hand arrows. And then when calculating hold ".". That's good. I like 1 hand calculating. That's smart.

just to clarify, the cannonkeys special color is only available at cannonkeys, not prototypist? So if I want to gamble on that color, I'll have to get the board through cannonkeys?

Very cool. Ever since I started using split boards I found it was easier to put the arrow cluster on a function layer under the WASD keys rather than have dedicated arrows on the right side since I almost always use arrows with my left hand. I would like to see more arrow and nav clusters on the left. I think I still prefer the numpad on the right, but this is a cool design. I don't know if I would buy one because the lack of a standard number row kind of kills it for me. (Can't play games on it and I am too used to the location of common symbols like !@$(). I would probably need to get used to having backspace one row down as well.) Good luck with GB!
