I like those butterscotch colored keys. Too bad its missing 4 of them.

Well, how much did that beaut cost you and what did they replace those four keys with? What on earth is that funny key or toggle switch next to the spacebar?

Is it missing shift keys or are they just recessed and not marked?

The switch next to the space bar is sort of like a "hyperspace" key. Seriously, you hold it down and it goes "ratatatatatatatatata" like a freakin' uzi and the paper moves rapidly to the left. Or I guess that's an electric, right? But basically the same concept.

I've played with old type writers before. That one would be a gem if those four keys weren't missing, and if the internal mechanism still works.

Ok, I remember those keys now. I think the point of it is actually opposite of what you just wrote. The uzi comes when you hold down the space bar and the fast forward space key zips you forward, but does so in such a fast manner that it's impossible to hit the spot you want without having to do a lot of spacing or backspacing to get the point you want.

The replacement keys are definitely the odder part.  As long as it works- fun.

It might be a Tab key. A proper Tab key that is, one that shoots the carriage across to the next position you've defined.

Those keys do look nice. But ripster will point out they are getting shiny!
