Need support with brass plate

Hi all!

I've ordered a bunch of keyboard parts for a new keyboard I'm building, and after I ordered all of the parts I saw a keyboard layout that I absolutely loved. The layout in question is in the image below



My PCB supports this type of layout, but the brass plate (image below on top of my PCB) I bought doesn't, I'm wondering what would be the best way to modify it to support that layout if at all?

it's just the bottom right corner that's different, right?

what pcb is it? are you sure the layout is supported? the white board is slightly different than a 60% with split right shift. (right shift is to left by 1u) with (2) 1u keys to the right of right shift (usually there's only one)

what pcb is it? (supported layouts)
what plate is it? (supported layouts)

need a little more info.

you can see a couple areas that would need adjusted on the plate IF the pcb supports this layout

suggest dremel tool with cutoff wheel & some files.

or you could also put it together without the plate, stabs are pcb mount anyway right? looks like a standard tray mount (pcb would mount to the bottom of the case.

The PCB I'm using is the DZ60, with a brass plate bought from KBDfans, I'm 99% sure that PCB supports the layout shown in the top picture.

nope. unfortunately not. you're all good except for the (2) 1u to the right of the 1.75 right shift.

you can use just one 1u to the right of the right shift, and use the 1.75 shift as the up arrow. i did that for years with a kbtalking pure 60%.

the only one that i know of that has that many keys in the bottom right corner is the steazy60, but that's alps/smk (not mx)

you could always get a plate cut & handwire.

I built my first 60% with a previous rev dz60 with the shift row layout OP is looking for. Comparing a spare dz60 I have on hand to the rev3 pic, it seems to me the rev3 does actually support this configuration, just it isn't in the kbdfans pics.

one way to find out... populate that area on the pcb with switches & caps & see if it works (without soldering of course, just to test layout)
