Do you smuggle your keys in coffee so the dogs can't sniff them out?  I thought that only worked in the movies.

Actually, I smuggle the coffee in the keys; that's Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee, but I just say it's "cheap coffee used as padding for protecting the keys", and customs are none the wiser!

Or maybe I just thought it would look nice :) I'm quite happy with the photo, actually.

I got mine Monday.  I was happy .   I want to put in a keyboard I won't have until the 15th, but won't see until the 17th.  I still haven't found my camera battery charger, either.  I guess I'll put damn blurry cams of the temporary location, into the picture thread.

Sadly, the Geekhack key is sold out, at least from its originator, although some people here may have bought extras.

As I understand it, Geekhack keys were only made for Cherry keyboards. Somehow, though, Ripster has a picture of one on a model M13 IBM buckling spring tenkeyless.

I was just lamenting my own lack of foresight about this over on the Custom Keycaps thread.  I am really regretting ignoring the impulse to get one of those despite the fact that I didn't have an Alps board at the time.

(Sigh...When will I learn that little voice is usually right? I tend to get into more trouble when I think too much before acting.)

And I would really get some use of that "X%&#!" keycap if I programmed it to enter that text when the key is pressed....

Of course!

I got a HUGE wave of requests for these.  So much so, that we should probably do a new order (as I don't have even close to the numbers available to cover the requests).  Depending on demand, we are looking at $6 shipped in the US and $10 shipped international.

Please send me a PM with the following info if you are interested in this group buy:

Subject:  GH key group buy

Specify the number of keys for each switch type (Alps or Cherry).  Also specify whether you are able to pay via paypal.  Finally, please provide me with your name and mailing address.

DO THIS EVEN IF WE HAVE HAD PREVIOUS CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING GEEKHACK KEYS!!  :)

I am basing this on a quantity of 50 being ordered.

I'm harvesting addresses and keyswitch type from my PM's right now.  If you didn't include your name with your address, please resend (I'm deleting all PM's that didn't provide the requested info...because, frankly, they are pouring in and I don't have the bandwidth to reply to each one requesting additional information)

ah I needed that info, without hope for a response I included it in my PM.
3$ per extra sounds about right.

Question:

Is thise a pure red-esc geekhack order? Or would it be possible to also order the green G and H key or maybe some blank keys in lavender or whatever colour?

IF that would be possible would it be necessary/desirable to find out if we can get e.g. 25 ppl to order a set of 4 blank lavender keys so we get a order of 100 for one key type?

If iMav doesn't want to make this order get out of hand and keep it strictly red-escape geekhack I totally understand. Just was wondering if ... :D
