Does your standard 60 plate only support ANSI layout or it's a universal plate? If so what kind of layouts does it support?
If I order a 60 plate only supporting a certain fixed layout, does it account in to MOQ of all 60 plates?

If I were to pick one type of switch to go best with titanium, would the optimal type be linear, clicky, or tactile?

Can you elaborate on what your standard 65% plate is?  Will it fit a Tada68, or is that something I would need to provide files for?

How would you estimate the cost for a 96 key plate?  Is it just the total cut path length?  Also, does anyone know where I can find the hole layout for a Melody96?  :)

Our MOQ count on pieces. If there are 20 Numad plate so we will count it as 20 pieces and we reach first MOQ :).

In my opinion, i will use Linear and Tactile with DSA Profile.
If you prefer "sound" you should pick Clicky + Brass + SA Profile. Best annoying at all  :p

For 96 and 1.5mm thickness, the cost is as same as TKL $95.

We can draw Melody96 for (we can borrow it for measuring :D)

Can you elaborate on what your standard 65% plate is?  Will it fit a Tada68, or is that something I would need to provide files for?

Depend on which case do you use, we will make a plate for you such as: Dolphin Linger :). You just fill a form then we will contact to identify which you like.

Ofcuse we can, Fill a form then we will contact you with a CAD CA66 Plate files.

In the form, you can leave your link in table of decribe more about your plate.Fill out the GB form first :).

Hi, is it possible to request:
1.) Polished Finish
2.) 3mm plate, but with 1.5mm on the switch cutouts for the switch to clip on
3.) Custom key layout but standard 60% size using KLE only (I don't know how to CAD)

TIA!

Hmm... I use almost always Cherry profile. The type of switch this works best with determines what shape I get. If I were to use this for Silent Blacks, I would get it for my Jane. If I were to use Holy Pandas or Novelias, I would get the 910 layout.

In next 3 months, we don't have plan to run another round.

Next our product is 65 with built in bluetooth (in QA Progress) and Titnium Case (in very end complete) so if you miss this time you still join when we run Titanium Case :).

Do you by chance have a winkeyless b.87 top plate CAD file handy or can you get one? I've got some of the files that Hojin posted a while back, but my solidworks doesn't agree with .dwg files and support hasn't been able to help me yet :/ I'd just do it from scratch, but I'm out of town for an extended business trip so I cant take measurements either.

http://blog.winkeyless.kr/208

I'm looking for layer 2t on the b.87 with a stepped caps lock and a split right shift so I can run a 1.75u and a 1u. I'm going to use a standard ANSI bottom row on it as well and would ideally use just the 1.25

I've got an old plate that has cracks in the acrylic and I think a Ti plate would look pretty stellar as a replacement, if you can help me out I'll almost certainly buy one.

Anyways, thanks
Tom

I am planning on ordering 3 or 4 plates with different layouts.  Would I have to fill out the form separately for each layout?

Also, if I pay for a custom logo, do you still stamp yours on the plate?

It looks pretty good but maybe I'm seeing things. It looks like the F row is spaced too high up, as if it's got the same spacing as a filco when it's actually .25u vertical separation. My quick math is telling me it should be about 23.8125 mm center to center from the number row to the F-row, can you confirm that your drawing is measuring that?

Tom

Solidworks is familiar to me, just send me sldprt.

You can fill out a form or send me via email: tamdht@gmail.com

I'd like to, but since the files were posted on winkeyless' site as DWG and I'm unable to open them, I'm unable to convert it to a sldprt.

I'll see if I can dl a program to edit it as a 2d file in the mean time.

I pick a measure from a link you leaved here. Im sure that a space between Num and F are 0.25 u.

Well sweet deal then, I'll fill out the order form in a day or two when I get back home. I think that with a heat anodize fade will look stellar.

Thanks a ton!

Would it be possible to create a bent TKL case with these? Do you have the equipment needed for the bending? Something like this:

Just submitted the form! I think I missed a detail on my submission. The .dxf is a template for what I want but I wrote exactly what UI wanted.

Looking forward to this!  ^-^

First of all you need to pick which pcb yoh will use or which layout you prefer at least. I will design your plate depend on your choices.

Just remember that cherry switches won't click into a plate over 1.5mm thick. "Thicker" plate designs (5mm) have been milled to depth where the switches click in.

And it's important that they clip in if you have a tray mounted board.  When they don't clip in, the plate can/will slide down the switches and there's not much you can do about it other than add some supports in between the plate and PCB that are exactly the right thickness.

I squeezed in at the last second into this group buy, and am still finalizing my specification. Having not worked with any specialized software for designing plates before, DGX_Shin has been extremely helpful in working with to make my idea a reality- a bent titanium TKL open case:

I will be using this kbfans 8x PCB. I'm posting this here because I still have a chance to make changes to this, and I have a few questions that maybe some of you could help me with.

1. Is it absolutely necessary to have screw holes in the plate? Is there some kind of shim I could screw in from underneath to make sure the PCB is supported / has even distance?

2. Do you think the switch-top opening support look ugly on an open case design, since you'll be able to see the holes? Does it change the sound?

Any suggestions are appreciated. This isn't dependent on changes to this design, but I'm also looking to find any information on how to create a custom fitted underglow diffuser.

Thanks :)

You need 4 screw holes at for angle because you may need put a frosted mica below your pcb.

2. I strongly suggest to remove OT support.

I have also asked /r/MechanicalKeyboards on Reddit, and they said I could mount the acrylic directly to the PCB. I think this is what I will do.

I have already sent you an email with the final changes :) Thank you!

I think you mentioned somewhere that this is a one time deal, but hopefully you will consider running this again. I think there's enough community interest in plate materials to warrant another GB. I would definitely pick up one or two plates.

Dear,

First of all I'm so sorry about delay.

I didn't mention about Year End (includes Lunar Year End) so i had gave a wrong estimate timeline. I'm really sorry about that.

We have done engraving and next step we will clean a surface again. But this week, Vietnam is celebrating Lunar Year End and Shipping service will close in this week. Feel sad :(.

After the celebrating week we will start to ship and finish this GB in Feb. Please pardon me (just me not my team) for my mistake.

Regard,
Tâm Huỳnh.

Hi all,

We had shipped it all 1.5mm and 2mm thickness plate and there are list of items still in progress:

1. Alps plates. We got a little problem with step down so we will re-cut them.
2. Order of 4 items with 1 RAMA. The Rama is re-cutted but another have been done. If you need it we can ship another 3 first :). If not please spend us a week
3. 3mm and 4mm thickness. A same problem with Alps.

We are so sorry about this and we try to clear it all in this week.

We email you tracking code via email and you guy can check it here: http://www.vnpost.vn/en-us/dinh-vi/buu-pham

If that 65% case is titanium, will you be offering it without anodizing (maybe just bead blasted or brushed)?  Is the only PCB option the bluetooth version, or is there a wired option as well?  Is it compatible with other available 65% PCBs?

1. This is A6 case :).

2. PCB includes in-built Bluetooth itselft.

3. The Kit can compatible with any 65% pcb except Dolphin Linger. If you like to use Dolphin Linger PCB you should wire usb to left.

Further and in addition to what Wilba, Pluto and others have already said, you certainly shouldn’t be publicizing your works with other people’s IP on a public site in an advertisement for your own work - REGARDLESS of whether a customer asked you to contribute to a breach of copyright law.

Please be decent and remove other peoples’ logo from your posts and stop passing off other people’s work as your own.

To be fair, the person that ordered the plate probably thought it was okay since it would be just for their personal use. Which would be fine if they stuck the logo on the plate themselves, but it's a different story when you pay a third party to do it. Anyway, the GB runner apologized and said they won't do it again, so let's not go on a witch hunt. It's an honest mistake.

Dear all,

The GB is done and every plate have been shipped to you. I have sent the tracking code via email and you guy can track it following this link: http://www.vnpost.vn/en-us/dinh-vi/buu-pham

There are a some note for you guy:
1. When you receive a plate, don't use it yet. You should deep it into pure water in a couple of minutes then clean it with a soft towel.
2. After a time of using, you can clean it with a wet towel then soft towel ;).

I keep 2 plates:
1. 3mm. It's late because of making another part for it.
2. 4mm. It's late because it need time to clean its surface.

I will create a shipping fee invoice and it's included $5 discount because of reaching MOQ1.

Thanks for trusting us and be polite for a months of waiting. It's my first GB so there are a lot mistake of estimating timeline. It's totally my fault but you guy still polite to me... i don't know how to show you guy my respect for this.

Last but not least, THANK YOU!
Tâm Huỳnh.

Doesn't seem to have affected functionality, fortunately.

You stopped responding when I inquired about the 4mm 60% plate I ordered on this group-buy, on email and pm. It was $155.

Same, it's been a few months since he responded to my last email. Still haven't received my plate neither.

After being very communicative, and even showing me pictures of the final product, I have not heard from organizer in about 6 months. I had a very custom order which came to about $440.

EDIT: Tried contacting just now, and he responded. He said he's had personal problems the last few months, and that he'll ship the rest of the plates sometime this month. Fingers crossed!

There has to be a better system of checks and balances. While joining group buys from tried-and-true vendors is ideal, sometimes the most fresh and new ideas come from the enthusiasts themselves. And seeing those buys come to fruition is awesome.

But its douchebag moves like this that will make me and others, second guess joining from those lesser known creators. Thats sad. It kills innovation. Literally.

Group buy runner, go screw yourself. Keep my plate. Go hide in a closet and count the $100s youve scammed. And consider how that’s enriched your life.

Similar thing happened to me. It took a while before I finally received my 3mm 60% plate, but when I received it, there were too many issues with it that I had to send it back.
I haven't heard back from him since June, and I don't think I'll be getting my plate anymore.

You should try contacting him on messenger, as he responds faster there.

Tell him to keep my plate. He could resell it and use the extra to fulfill the rest of the orders.

Its not about the money. For me its about getting innovative products. And not having to chase things I already paid for. I am sorry if they had had personal issues. But I dont accept that. Regardless of what happens in life, you're an adult and can respond to an email within the span of months.

I got my two custom plates in March. I haven’t put them in any birds yet. They came very dirty and I haven’t cleaned them either. I wanted to let everyone know that some product has shipped. Didn’t realize other people hadn’t gotten their plates yet.
