Group Buys and Preorders / Re: [GB] GMK CYL 1520

How did this do? NovelKeys says "order placed" so I guess everything hit MOQ?

Novelkeys has transitioned to pre-orders, instead of group buys as they ensure each set they run is made. The set hit MOQ and everything will be made  :thumb:

Production cost to ssd is already lower than HDD, right now they're just fleecing the customers.

Keyboard Keycaps / Re: New URSA keycaps profile for Topre keyboards

I love the idea of turning my Realforce 104U into the equivalent of a HighProfile Realforce with some nice, tall spherical keycaps.

Keyboards / Re: Unpopular Keyboard Opinions

I use Windows at home and Linux at work, and I use the same type of keyboard for both (conventional full size ANSI/QWERTY). I could use the same keyboard for a Mac if I ever became a Mac user (again). I don't understand the need to switch keyboards because of the OS, and I'm someone who has used a lot of different OSes in my day. I also dislike chording; anything more than the occasional Ctrl+<key> when I'm in a text editor and I'm going to be frustrated, which means anything smaller than 60% (with my iPad, for instance) is out of the question for me. I have difficulty grasping why anyone would enjoy all the chording nonsense required for a 40% (or smaller) board.

Having said that, I'm not a "the bigger the better" person. I don't like the space consumed by IBM "battleships", and I think the only big keyboard I would willingly put on my desk would be a Space Cadet. So while I prefer a full ANSI layout, I don't want it living in a huge case with wide bezels and large gaps between key sections. There's a way to make full size keyboards compact without making robbing them of all the ergonomic benefits of a proper full size ANSI layout. I just wish more of the companies who cater to the mech keyboard market today would take their lovely 60-65-75-80% designs and apply that design language to full size products.

anti-natalism might be the toughest topic in history to debate

How do we incentivize a young population who is poorer than the last generation and years behind financially than their parents (at the same time in their lives) to take on children who are also more expensive than they have ever been coupled with daycare insecurity due to lack of options or spots in existing daycares?

putting a child in a world that will probably be in ruin by the end of their life

My children are grateful that I gave them life, and they are glad to be alive.

Life is far from perfect, but a person should get an opportunity to live it.

As it is, the majority of new babies are born into the worst conditions, and many of what would be the most advantaged babies are simply never conceived.

Is that really a rational way to think about procreating? Or, like TP4 says - if you don't want discomfort, don't go outside.

Group Buys and Preorders / Re: [GB] Re:Monoflex - Not a GB ?! - In stock Sale

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a quick update:
-------------
I just received new plates for testing, and some half plates.
I received:
5x ABS Black Full
5x PP Semi-Transparent Full
5x PC Transparent Full
10x POM Black Full
5x Carbon Fiber Full (flex cut)
I'll check this week-end and give you a feedback how it feels.
------------
Another quick update:
I was wondering if there would be interested people for new color batches, I've been working with the Cerakote Shop, he would be able to do some more.
I couldn't get the same price I had for the whole order but if you are willing to get your own color, there could be a group of 4-5 people.
1 Batch = 4-5 boards (depending on the color)
If there is 1 batch, not sure if price will be great but 3-4 batches could do it.
You would have to pay for the extra cost but I'll manage the whole process.
It can help selling some extra units and you could get your own color for an extra.
I'd like to know if there are groups of people, interested in, having the same color for a Monoflex.
And ... which colors.
There are some colors I was thinking of :
Prison Pink (https://www.cerakote.com/shop/cerakote-coating/H-141/prison-pink)
Hunter Orange (https://www.cerakote.com/shop/cerakote-coating/H-128/hunter-orange)
Sunflower (https://www.cerakote.com/shop/cerakote-coating/H-317/sunflower)

Feel free to reach me if you have any questions or anything.

refurbished products in general from mainstream retailers are pretty bad, it's just shoddy work because the person refurbishing it either doesn't have the experience or isn't paid enough to care that much about the product.
Never blame the workers for that which can be attributed to profit.
Sellers will push the limits in order to get the most profit, especially when they know Amazon won't punish them for lying or having lots of returns.

I always feel like KAM and KAT has a million kits, so it never occurred to me to ask for nordeuk, but yes :-)

UK keys support please, either by inclusion in base or a (cheap, please) NorDeUK kit, please?

I'll definitely consider it!
