More apartment hunting...so damn hard to find a loft in OC.  Wish I could move up to LA but that commute would be brutal. :(

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I gutted the kitchen in my new house and got everything ready to knock down the wall between my kitchen and dining room.  Not bad considering I was alone and only had about 4 hours of actual demo time.  :)

Unfortunately the sink does not have shutoffs, so I will have to turn off water to the whole house tomorrow and cap those pipes in order to remove the sink and that counter.

I raided my mother's vintage outerwear closet, which netted me 3 new jackets. I'll post some pics later.

yeah, outerwear as a term doesn't really get thrown around that much, but I like the way it sounds when you say it.

KUL?

Thinking more along the lines of a kustom in the hopes of reaching my personal keyboard nirvana.

Probably a 60% or TKL complemented with a numpad in matching cases. Thinking of GON but I'm not sure if I'll like the low profile case.

:'( Oh well... it's seen much use over the two or so years... I guess I can use it for just novelty caps that don't require much force. I have my Filco keycap puller for the the tighter mods.

It was exhausting, time-consuming, and I made a ****-ton of mistakes.

Nevertheless, I'm glad I did it.

Hope things turn out well! :)

Ah this takes me back! I was in a Death/Stoner Metal band back in my younger days, haven't been on stage in like 4 years and I still miss it.

I had a great day today, went for an interview for an Android developer position at a great company. Best interview I've ever done - no HR people, just the three lead devs and they were all super relaxed so it went great. I'll be super happy if I score the job, I've been busting my balls learning Java for the last 18 months so it will be nice to secure a position.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.
