One weird thing though is now when I go to post something, it seems to hang when I click 'Submit'.  Though I can click the back arrow a couple times and my message has posted.  Any ideas?

Edit 2:  Not doing it now.  Though I did update my motherboard drivers.  Though I could navigate the forums with no issue.

Bug discussion starts here.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

At Dragon Con in Atlanta, I doubt anyone from geekhack is here but it's pretty huge "everything" convention with 70k attending (comics, sci fi, science, video games, skeptics, and more). It literally takes over downtown ATL. Maybe I should sync up a keyboard meet here one year.

I just took 4 after hours calls that each lasted about 5 minutes, one a little closer to 10, that I get comped 1.5 hours each for.  They all came in in the course of two hours or so.

Sometimes my job sucks, but these after hours calls are a massive perk if you ask me.  An hour of pay for 5 minutes of work.

I'd be willing to bet someone else is there...not me, but someone.

Made an incredibly bad-a$$ batch of steak enchiladas.  Stuffing included steak, green pepper, yellow pepper, yellow onion, ground cardoman, ground cumin, garlic powder, lowerys seasoning salt, and a splash of A-1 steak sauce.

Also, the person in charge of my Verizon DSL locally needs strangling. I'm on a mission to find them.

Same here...luckily, I don't have to work today, and my class was optional (professor's wife had a baby) so that helped.

Oh man, that sux brother. But glad to hear you could rest! Dood... had the worst fever, body aches, and chills. Luckily, the chills have passed.

Let's get better! Stay hydrated. I was slightly dehydrated when I woke up earlier...

I've already had a half gallon of water and a half gallon of iced tea today because the food won't stay haha. I think I'm hydrated enough for the two of us!

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I even showed the guy a map of the world and showed him where Madagascar is and where Malaysia is and he still didn't believe me, and he was NOT new his name tag said he had been there for 30+ years .....

Not even surprised anymore at the stupidity of some people.

Busy day at work surprisingly (help desk, usually pretty slow), and flipped my spacebar!

My work desk has been annoying me for the longest time. Hopefully today, that will be no more!!

The desk would squeal and squeek when doing tasks such as erasing lines from a piece of paper. The noise was driving me bananas. The screws on this desk like to work themselves out and the metal on metal contact creates this noise. So far I've taken 8 screws/bolts and wrapped them at least once around with paper and put them back into place. I will do more if I have to!!
