Put my hand in my pocket to get something out that is not relevant to the story and caught the end of my finger, along the side of the nail, in a loop of loose thread therein.

It dug in and cut the end of my finger next to the nail.

Stung a bit, I put a band aid on it.

Now I can't type properly 'cause I'm worried it will start bleeding again on my keyboard.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

This is why we need more Pocket Danger Awareness (PDA).  I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I hope you get better (and don't bleed on the keyboard too much  ).

It's alright. The recruitment process is strange. They don't always recruit, so your application is pretty much pot luck. You register your interest, then when they are actively recruiting they will send you a message asking if you are interested (which you kind of already said you were) then they do phone interviews, then face to face interviews and fitness tests and psych tests and then you might be able to get in depending on if you speak another language or can read peoples minds.

So even me registering interest now means I might not get a call back for another 6 months.

had four poops.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

nope -- all poops were done urban-style, on a warm bowl.

I cleaned everything. I just woke up feeling great so I completely disassembled, manually dusted, and repasted my computer, reorganized my desk, and completely cleaned a few rooms in the house which don't have my magic, slightly obsessive touch to keep them from ever getting messy in the first place.

Cut a big ass mouse pad for mstarr and am taking it down to Rainbow tomorrow

Installed black oxide coated counter sunk screws in my JD40

Got my XT top plate cooking in an electrolysis bath.  Bottom plate was perfect but top had some chipping paint.  It needed a mat swap anyway.

Installed a swinging baby gate at the new house.

That is when you make their desktop image a screen shot of their desktop and then hide the icons, and move the start bar to another side and set it to auto hide.
